Fox News BANS George Soros - No Propaganda & Lies Allowed
George Soros recently requested to appear on FOX News to set the record straight about some of the faleshoods thrown around about him in the media,
FOX News responded that he is not allowed on their network because they don't promote Propaganda and Falsehoods on their airwaves.

It would have been a waste of time anyway. Very sad that the nazis have put a target on his back.

OP can you provide a link?
All I can find is Fox is refusing to allow Patrick Gaspard, the president of Democratic donor George Soros' Open Society Foundations to appear not George Soros himself.
I hate Fox but I also don't like people posting things that are not true, the reason I won't watch Fox News because it is full of it.

[quote] What is the point of this thread?
the head of the Soros-founded @OpenSociety said he's been trying to get booked on Fox News to rebut the network's constant anti-Soros smears -- but they "refuse to have us on."

Forget trying to get on Fox. Challenge them openly to a debate in CNN.

Fox ought to be required to run a banner identifying itself as the originator of “fake news”. I don’t think we can keep a democratic republic in the long term given the sophistication today, of all the lying, manipulative weasels out there. As it is, we already have elected a fascist leader backed by Fox, and it could get even worse.
And, or extra credit, we need to revert to post-Watergate like regulations on campaign financing and political contributions. Corporations today can give unlimited sums to politicians, and such corporations could be majority owned by a foreign sovereign wealth fund. It’s completely absurd!
These are two issues I’d like the Dems to focus on, in addition to voter disenfranchisement.

They really need to bring back the Fairness Doctrine. Republicans thrive in untruths.

R10, there is some truth to that. But only some. Fox is in a class all by itself. They disseminated the concept of “Death Panels” in the ACA; and that Obama was born in Kenya. I once heard Bil O’Reilly refer to the Southern Poverty Law Center as a “Hate Group”.

R14 And this is different to scapegoating Trump for America's inherent anger, violence and bigotry how exactly?

I don’t know how Fox could be outed as a purveyor of lies, without impinging in the first Amendment of other, reputable sources. Someone wiser than me could craft such a law, I have no doubt.
I’m reminded of Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart‘s 1964 statement that he had a hard time defining hardcore pornography, but “he knew it when he saw it”. Likewise, it’s hard to differentiate the lies presented so expertly on Fox, from real news, but “I know it when I see it”. I’ve heard somewhere that Fox claims to be an entertainment channel in the guise of a news channel, not as a news channel, but I know that it’s viewers don’t always understand the difference.

I don’t understand your point. I’m not “scapegoating” Fox, I’d just like to see them held accountable for their lies and misrepresentations.

As for your tangent about Trump, again, I’m not “scapegoating” him. I’d just like to see him held accountable for his part in his lies and misrepresentations. Apparently, the looming midterm elections have prompted him to increase his average number of lies per day from about 8 to about 32.
[quote] from the link: Trump’s tsunami of untruths helped push the count in The Fact Checker’s database past 5,000 on the 601st day of his presidency. That’s an average of 8.3 Trumpian claims a day, but in the past nine days — since our last update — the president has averaged 32 claims a day.

[quote] R17: And this is different to scapegoating Trump for America's inherent anger, violence and bigotry how exactly?
I didn’t make the claim, here, that blamed Trump for “America's inherent anger, violence and bigotry”, but since you raised the point, of course Trump is responsible for stoking fear, anger, violence and bigotry. (You forgot “fear”, R17, and that’s something upon which the other vices build.
Trump has denigrated Mexicans, Black Americans, Muslims, legal and illegal immigrants, women, the disabled, and others. He’s also explicitly called for his rally attendees to assault others and “knock the crap out of him”,. He’s publically offered to pay the legal bills of his followers who do so. He’s bragged about sexually assaulting women. He’s asserted his support for the death penalty. He’s called for the police to assault people who they arrest. He’s played the “Pocahontas card”. He neglected to forcefully condemn the Nazis at Charlottesville. He neglected the Puerto Rican post-hurricane recovery efforts. He has repeatedly asserted that there will be violence if an election doesn’t go the way he wants. And he lies so often the Wa Post had to assign a team to monitor his speeches to compile an ongoing list.
So, Trump isn't being “scapegoated”. He is detested because he has earned it. The above are facts, based on Trump ‘s own words. He brings out the worst impulses in people.

Well, “no puppet, no puppet!” and “there’s no collusion” and “witch-hunt”! “Virtually everybody agrees with that.”

IIRC, When Obama was elected, the administration tried to move the Fox “journalist” to assigned seating far in the back of the Briefing Room. The press banded together and fought back and won. The Fox rep’s assigned seat was not moved. If I were King of the Forest, I’d move Fox back between the National Inquirer and Pravda; and prohibit any White House staff members from interviewing with the Fox staff.
Remember when Bill O’Reilly interviewed Obama during Super Bowl half time? BillO was interrupting and being rude to try to get a rise out of Obama, but he didn’t take the bate. BillO asked him as to what it was like because people hated him? “I mean people really hate you!” I wish Obama had instead responded with “Well I should really ask you about that, you seem to be the expert on it and for a lot longer”
