'Celebrity' Deathlist / Deadpool 2019

Bob Barker another name worth throwing into the thread.

That was before the Trump Era in which we have multiple wishes of death every day.

by Anonymousreply 99November 4, 2018 4:55 PM

Stan Lee is a good guess [R86] his situation has been very precarious this year.

The holiday season usually brings a lot of celeb deaths. Some of these folks won't make it to 2019. The truly ancient like de Havilland are easy--the odds are against them.

Cosby will not enjoy prison and he easily could go down fast.

Dole must be pretty infirm by nowm--he and Bush I seem like very good candidates.

I know there will be at least one Trump enabler who will blow his brains out within the next year, the question is which one. They're kind of low lever, bottom feeder celebs

Jr? Sean Hannity? Maybe Kavanaugh - I understand he has a bit of a drinking problem.

by Anonymousreply 140November 5, 2018 5:59 PM

Ok, here are my early predictions for 2019*

• Kirk Douglas - I want to hear Natalie Wood’s sister finally reveal the details of the rape!

• Roman Polanski - will be 86 in 2019, years of the party life bound to catch up with him.

• Francis - he’s going to be 82, has been living without 1/2 a lung for 60 years-that taxes the body; I’ve noticed he doesn’t do many long haul trips anymore either.

• Benedict - going on 92, very frail health. He could go easily, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he hangs on - his ailments seem to all be old age related, so he just get weaker, frailer, before finally slipping away.

• King Salman - nearly 83, already had one stroke he never fully recovered from, and suffers from early stages of Alzheimer’s.

• Jimmy and Rosalind Carter - both over 90 and in failing health (in terms of stamina, not mental). I see Rosalind going first, with Jimmy following very quickly after - a Carrie/Debbie scenario wouldn’t surprise me.

* = list not complete and subject to change

Selena Gomez and/or Demi Lovato are going to die in 2019.

Drug addiction is really, really hard to treat and they are just surrounded by the wrong people.

Selena literally had a friend give her her kidney and yet she is STILL doing drugs and saying it's all just her lupus.

Bob Barker

Demi Lovato - drug overdose, possibly suicide. She's struggling to stay clean and she seems to have an inherent unhappiness

Justin Bieber - drug overdose, possibly suicide. He seems to be very unhappy. Gossip sites have a steady feed of him and Hailey with a ton of PDA. They're trying too hard to convince the world they're happy. I think he will always love Selena. I also thing he is being exploited by Hillsong Church.

Tony Bennett

Bill Cosby - I think he has found he is not as beloved in prison as he thought he would be.

Selena Gomez - she's lost a kidney and continues to use drugs. if she does have an autoimmune disease, as she claims, then using drugs is lethal. I also think she is deeply unhappy and has been for a long time. She wants Justin to want her.

I watched three movies with Sidney Poitier in the past two weeks. So fine. And a hell of an actor. I was just a kid when he won his Academy Award and it didn't seem off the wall that a black actor was the best that year. We watched the movie about his friendship with a blind white girl in high school. Again, it didn't seem at all unlikely that two people of differing races couldn't be friends. We have definitely regressed as a society. He even had a bit part in Blackboard Jungle! I hope it's not him.

by Anonymousreply 299December 28, 2018 1:01 AM

Poitier's characters reflected the man. They valued education, self-respect, and general dignity. I'm not so certain it's the "society" that regressed.

I was looking at several Deadpool lists yesterday and I was shocked to see how many young people were in the top 50.

Pete Davidson was around 24 and several of the mumble rappers were a bit lower.

by Anonymousreply 318December 31, 2018 4:33 PM

^^ It seems nowadays that everyone under 35 is 2 steps from suicide or an overdose.

Its the result of being eternally triggered.

R325 No, not Trump. But one or both of Melanias parents. Trumps sister?

Leading female Dem politician. Feinstein, I think. Hers will be dramatic, like in Senate chambers or in public.

RBG will die, retire or be removed due to illness. By June.

Bernie Sanders will not see the end of 2020.

by Anonymousreply 327January 1, 2019 4:22 PM

You better add Olivia Newton-John. I saw her recent photos on the front page of this weeks National Enquirer. Not good.

by Anonymousreply 328January 1, 2019 4:26 PM

Um that is an easy one. She says she has terminal cancer watching kittens for therapy and hoping to live to see her crazy daughter marry.

Dawn Wells I can see going.

Katherine Helmond maybe.

Peter Tork possibly: Micky Dolenz and Mike Nesmith plan to tour without him, and Nesmith collapsed earlier in 2018 and had heart surgery soon after. Peter's keeping private about his health challenge, but Micky, promoting the Monkees' "Christmas Party" album, publicly stated they were sending Peter prayers and good wishes.

Since hearing about his multiple strokes/seizures and dramatic memory loss I’m a little worried about Frankie Muniz surviving the year, at least as we know him.

No idea what the fuck is going on but it doesn’t sound too optimistic. He looks ok, is the weird part. His frequent recent strokes and rapidly declining memory are attributed to several bad crashes he got into when racing cars, but dude is just 32 years old and was racing for maybe 5-7 of them. He’s also said to be a straight-edge lifer. Hmmm.

According to Muniz he doesn’t remember anything anymore about filming MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE (you know, the show that was his full-time occupation for the entirety of his adolescence) and had to Netflix binge it to recall even basic memories about it.

I hope he’s ok, he seems humble and good-humored enough ie. not creepy or a diva like most FCSs. What does he do with his time now? (Retired?) Does he still sometimes kick it with our DL-fave Justin Berfield?

"When the fullness of Jussie Smolletts bullshit story is exposed, I could easily see him committing suicide."

Yeah, and people here were saying Kevin Spacey, Dennis Hastert, Harvey Weinstein, and Jerry Sandusky would commit suicide....pretty sure all those guys are still with us.

R469, you're right that the majority of guys don't commit suicide when they are exposed in a terrible controversy, but it happens sometimes.

Eg. last month in the case of former American Pairs Champion John Coughlin (see the figure skating threads).

I’m going to throw Anna Wintour into the mix. Seeing both Karl and Anna without sunglasses recently was disconcerting.

I wrote reply 332. I'm not all that happy to have scored with Peter (not in the death pool case, the other case yes), but I thank Micky Dolenz for the tip.

Datalounge isn't doing too well on celeb deaths so far.

Did anyone predict Kristoff St. John ?

DJ Khaled. Gang related murder.

r47 and r306 predicted or offered for consideration Stanley Donen as a 2019 deathlist hit.

Fats Domino died in 2017.

It's easier to predict the deaths of nonagenarians than those of octogenarians,, especially as there are fewer nonagenarians.

Peter Tork's death was predicted for 2019 as well.

by Anonymousreply 480February 23, 2019 5:35 PM

Considering Tork was sick for years hardly a good guess.

by Anonymousreply 481February 23, 2019 5:44 PM

Good does not necessarily equal surprising.

by Anonymousreply 482February 23, 2019 5:45 PM

Suck it, r322.
