She plays the mother/grandmother on American Housewife. I just saw Connie Selleca on some show she hosts with husband John Tesh and I couldn't believe how good she looked.

Loved her in Dream On on HBO and Just Shoot Me. She's always playing my favorite character even in dreck like Just Shoot Me.

I didn't think it was dreck. I thought JSM was pretty funny. David Cross was hilarious as "Donnie"

Wendie was also good on Frasier as Martin's girlfriend. She and John Mahoney had nice chemistry.

Wendie was on an ep of Grace & Frankie last year. Shes a great comedic actress & she looks beautiful.

Ive heard shes very seeet in person as well. All that combined would explain why shes always worked.

Terrific actress, always a scene stealer. She brought some much-needed realism to the otherwise saccharine This is Us.

I was being a little hard on JSM. I watched most of the series but I couldn't stand the Maya, dad Jack and Elliot characters. No knock against the actors but I preferred David Spade and Wendy.

Nice to hear she is lovely in person.

She must be well-liked in Hollywood or has the best agent, or both, in addition to her talent.

She stole Just Shoot Me from everyone, including Laura San Giacomo and was nominated twice for an Emmy.

I'm rewatching the season of 'American Housewife' where she lived with the family for awhile (she plays Katie's mum), and in one of the Christmas eps--which always have Katie or Greg's parents visit--Patrick Duffy visits (he plays Katie's dad). Her parents divorced years earlier and her dad didn't know that her mum has been staying with the family. He takes one look at Wendie and says, "Did you make a deal with yourself to still look that good at your age?"

She truly has aged like a fine wine...and her line delivery is always spot on. She's one of those people who could read the phone book (if we still had those) and make it funny. It's nice to hear she's a nice person in real life, as she plays a self-centered bitch so well.

There are benefits to having "grown"/adult looks, as opposed to cherubic/ingenue etc. And Malick's aging demonstrates that. She looked thirty something in the 1970s.

She's obviously quite into fitness and not just cigarettes and starvation, like the typical actress.

r10, I didn't like her on Frasier, Wendie was the replacement for Sherry, played wonderfully by Marsha Mason (anyone know why she left or why she wasn't brought back?) - apparently the network had Ms Malick on contract after Just Shoot Me! was cancelled and wanted to use her in something, so they stuck her in a bad wig and paired her up with John Mahoney on Frasier, the character was a cheap copy of Sherry and the two were not believable together at all.

She should have cut a deal that got her even more roles. I've never been disappointed to see her on screen.

Haaated the Sherry character on Frasier, though she was a good fit for Martin. Hated the Laura Linney character, and she was a bad fit for Frasier, though she ought to have ticked the boxes. I hope Wendie Malick has a guest spot if/when the series returns.

She looked older than her age in the 90s, so I guess she's one of those people who aged quickly and then froze and now her age matches her looks.
