This white guy from my high school who's 18 met Tyler at some jazz-related event, back in September I believe. Tyler made a post the next day of the event and commented on his own post saying "ALSO IM LOOKING FOR (name) FROM YESTERDAY". Tyler found the guy and they DM'd (he also deleted the commented asking for him). It wasn't anything inappropriate, Tyler was just looking for people under 30 who are into jazz. The 18yo guy posted the DM on his story, and also posted a selfie he took with Tyler on his page. The guy also changed his IG name to "(name)fromyesterday" as a joke.

This is going to sound weird but Tyler reminds me of the guy from Death in Venice. Not because of the fascination with underage boys but because I feel like he's a romantic and an aesthete in a way. He kind of idealizes (and idolizes) these young white boys and wants to look at them and surround himself with them but I don't know if he actually wants to "date" them?
