The son of TV news anchor ­Rosanna Scotto has been charged with swiping a Chanel purse at the Marquee club early Saturday, and cops are investigating whether he is linked to a spate of bag thefts at Chelsea clubs.

Cops busted Louis Ruggiero, 20, after seeing him tuck a purse under his jacket as he was walking out of the 10th Avenue club at around 1:20 a.m., law-enforcement sources told The Post.

Ruggiero admitted he didn’t know to whom the purse belonged, the sources said.

He allegedly also was found carrying a small amount of cocaine and a false ID, the sources said.

In court yesterday Rosanna's son testified he told Rosanna about the killer confessing to him and she didn't go to the police or have him go to the police. So a NYC news anchor knew about a murderer's confession and kept it to herself. Her son had to be subpoenaed months later before he would talk. How can she ever report on a murder story now? She knew a killer confessed but kept silent.
