Inquiring minds want to know WHY you would get your nipple pierced. And at what age did you get your nipple piercing?
Why Did You Get Your Nipple Pierced?

Call me old fashioned but I was shocked to find out that my beautiful niece did this. I asked her why and she said because no one would ever expect it of her. I kind of get it but it makes me sad.

It inhances the feelings in your nipples 20x. If your nipples are wired to your dick then it inhances sex 50x.

Ouch

I was 15 years old. It seemed very risqué and punk at the time. My parents weren't too concerned about piercings because they figured you could always take them out and let them heal up. I had had several other piercings at this point including my tongue, and the nipples seemed like a natural escalation. A lot of it was about the adrenaline rush I think. After my nipples I kind of lost interest in piercings in general because there was nothing more thrilling I could get pierced. I wanted an apadravya but I couldn't find a shop that would do it for me until I turned 18, even with parental consent. By the time I was 18 I was pretty much totally done with piercings altogether.

I got mine when I was maybe 22 at the legendary Gauntlet in SF. I was inspired to get mine because we had a model in my figure drawing class with a similar body type as mine and I thought it looked hot as hell. It does increase sensitivity and it’s fun to play with for me and others. I used to love shocking people with it but now it’s a little quotidienne. Still my favorite piercing, though.

I find pierced nipples totally hot on a guy. Sadly, I don't see that many guys with them nowadays.

i would NEVER
my nipples are always erect, why i don't know
and they are so sensitive it is otherworldly
so that is why i got mine not done

I’m 28 and got my left nipple done when I was maybe 19. A couple of my gay friends have both nipples done and I always thought it looked better with the symmetry. So just after Christmas 2017 I got my second one done as well. I also got a PA which i had done a couple of years ago and a guiche which I got last year
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 24, 2018 6:27 PM |
Do you have them take them out at airport security?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 24, 2018 6:29 PM |
Stupid question but does it leave your nipple more erect than without. I hate my flat nipples (unless someone work them up).
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 24, 2018 6:29 PM |
I’ve only flown through NZ and Australia security and its never been a problem. Never had to take them out nor has it set off the detector. I can imagine USA having more sensitive scanners so might be a different story for them.
Yes my nipples are more erect now. I love seeing the piercing ring through clothing. When I can see a guys piercing through his T-shirt it really gets me going.

Convinced my friend to get his done. He’s 22. He’s going to get a PA as well.

The super bowl performance of Janet Jackson....thought it was oddly hot when she had the mishap so I got both done - still have them to this day and extremely not characteristic of a jewish attorney (but no tatts on me)!
I still like/enjoy them (becuz it is my little secret for the most part) but I loss all the feeling of that erogenous zone - so take that into consideration when getting!!

My nipples are practically numb so in my case, it would just be decorative.

WTF? You lost all feeling in your nipple? I thought it was supposed to enhance the feeling.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 24, 2018 7:16 PM |
My right nipple was always more sensitive than my left, so I got my left one pierced when I was 28 or so.
It did increase sensitivity, but it was kind of slow in healing and was a bit of an inconvenience, so I let it close up after about a year.

[R13 TO R16] - I have just normal feeling but not like I had prior to the piercing...it's not an erogenous zone anymore. The piercings go through the nerve endings...maybe mine was done incorrectly but lost it in both.
And yes the healing process is a bear....get some glass shot glasses!!!
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 24, 2018 7:22 PM |
What are the shot glasses for? To rinse the piercings? Why do they have to be glass.
Do the directions of the piercings effect nerve endings? Vertical vs. horizontal vs. diagonal.

I was dumb.

For the milk, Rose.

From my memory, you do a water/salt mixture and you soak the nipples in that (basically, attached and flip them over as you lay down). I believe twice a day to help with the healing...when they do the piercing it is very painful and i have a high pain threshold (supposedly that is the most painful piercing). The pain gets better but it does take awhile to heal. Probably don't need to be glass.
Not sure about how they are placed (ask the technician). I have loop ones but again, I lost that area as an erogenous zone. Curious to see if other did as well or maybe I was a one off but it happened with both nipples.

The pain while getting it done is - yowza - definitely high, but it’s over quickly and is accompanied by that adrenaline surge so it’s tolerable. What hurts as much but is not as fun is catching it and bumping it, especially while dressing, as it heals. No bueno but still worth it.

Wait. You got your nipple pierced because you saw Janet Jackson's boob on TV?
And you're a lawyer?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 24, 2018 7:49 PM |
I didn't want the pain, so I just use some clip ons I got at TJ Maxx
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 24, 2018 7:56 PM |
I got mine because I thought it looked cool - got it when I was 26 or so. It definitely increased sensitivity and when I was high on the dance floor it would send me into spasms of ecstasy if anyone so much as brushed up against it. I loved having it, but I took it out in my early 30s and let it heal.
I prefer only one, I think it looks like hand towel racks if they're both done.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 24, 2018 7:56 PM |
[R24] yep, young and I thought they were sexy and also taboo. I don't like tattoos and I always thought I could take them out when the time comes...I guess that was my reasoning at the time. Also, I was drunk with friends (when I got them) and your judgement isn't the best when you have been drinking.

Whoops misspelled. It’s Arriagada and he has other piercings apparently.

Eldergay here. I actually pierced mine myself. Back in the day, the Gauntlet in SF would mail order you not only jewelry, but little hollow cylinders shaped like straws, with sharp tapered points. You shoved these through your nips to make the holes and then inserted the jewelry. Later on I had larger gauge rings put in to stretch out the holes. Love having my pierced nips played with, either during sex or masturbation, to this day. Have my navel pierced, too. I had my perineum pierced with a guiche at one point but I have to admit the damn thing kept wearing holes in my underwear, so I finally took it out and let the hole close. Can't win them all. I find the sight of pierced dicks and balls highly erotic, but not for me, I'd wimp out.

R32 here again. Forgot to mention that you also had to buy from Gauntlet a locking forceps clamp, with openings in its ends, to hold your nipple steady while you shoved the piercer through, We were daring in those days! Such crazy kids.

Had to google "apadravya" which is a piercing through the head of your penis which goes through the urethra.
I assume in makes peeing standing up pretty messy, but Wikipedia indicates it is pleasurable for "male homosexuals" in penetrative intercourse as it stimulates the prostate.

i (female) got mine pierced because i liked how it looked. honestly - they were a pain in the fucking ass and am much happier with them out.

I have always loved sucking on my sex partner's nipples and vice versa. Nipple piercing made that a non-starter for me.

Mid 80s. Post punk. Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth ( google ). Nipples, cock, guiche. By the legendary Mr Sebastian. A gentleman.
Was given to believe dick piercing would feel amazing. Just felt like a bit of metal in my nob. Guiche was meant, if tugged, to prolong orgasm. Did it bollocks. Nipple rings however, were great. But always had nipples that were hotwired to my cock so no surprise really.
One nipple became infected when I changed the jewellery. That hurt. Took out that ring and put two in the other. Result, one nipple somewhat more stretched than the other. Took PA out of cock years ago but hole never healed up. Very occasionally taken by surprise as I pee down my leg out of second hole. Always when I’m at some dinner or high end restaurant.
Inconvenient and overrated.

Openly gay journalist Dave Bridle got his nipple pierced, as part of his story, on body piercings
