A movie I have never seen and never will see is Rocky Horror Picture Show

What was the big deal about it? I remember it would play every friday at midnight so I assume they could sing along.

by Anonymousreply 31October 23, 2018 3:37 AM

If you are so disinterested in it why are you asking us about it and starting a thread to get information?

by Anonymousreply 1October 22, 2018 5:52 AM

[quote]I don't even care to google what it is about

Apparently you care enough to start this thread.

by Anonymousreply 2October 22, 2018 5:54 AM

OP is the height of passive-aggressive inanity.

OP you're so cool! How'd you get so cool?

by Anonymousreply 4October 22, 2018 6:15 AM

0/10

by Anonymousreply 5October 22, 2018 6:30 AM

It's not for you OP. The creators of RHPS did not have you in mind when they made this film. You are definitely not their audience.

Move along now there's nothing to see.

by Anonymousreply 6October 22, 2018 6:43 AM

I saw it once, OP. You are missing nothing.

by Anonymousreply 7October 22, 2018 6:47 AM

Well you missed out. There have been fun RHPS threads here on DL in years past also. So ha ha, too bad.

by Anonymousreply 8October 22, 2018 7:09 AM

OP = ASSHOLE, VIRGIN and a SLUT!!!!

by Anonymousreply 9October 22, 2018 7:29 AM

Anyone who would have seen it has one or more of the 3Ds. Wears diapers. Is dead. Or has dementia.

by Anonymousreply 10October 22, 2018 8:12 AM

I enjoyed it, for the most part, the only drag was (surprise) Susan Sarandon.

by Anonymousreply 11October 22, 2018 5:03 PM

It's a hilarious tradition, a costume party, a legal food fight and it's full of eye candy and QUEER LIBERATION.

If you don't like it, you're a homophobe/ naysayer / prisspot.

I’ve been curious to see it, but I loathe Susan Sarandon so much, I’ll never watch it.

by Anonymousreply 13October 22, 2018 5:28 PM

OP, the movie itself wasn't really a big deal.

It had a few good musical numbers, but the movie was wildly inconsistent. It was a rollercoaster of good and bad scenes.

The baby boomer audience made themselves the big deal by making themselves "participants" through acting along with every single scene and talking back to the characters.

The youngest boomers are pushing 60 so there is no big deal to any of it anymore.

It won't traumatize you to see it at least once.

by Anonymousreply 14October 22, 2018 6:19 PM

OP - your ability to close your mind is an inspiration to all Dataloungers!

by Anonymousreply 15October 22, 2018 6:22 PM

Don't risk it, OP!

by Anonymousreply 16October 22, 2018 6:49 PM

From the commentaries with the other actors R13 you get the impression some of the other actors weren't very fond of her either.

by Anonymousreply 17October 23, 2018 1:38 AM

Sarandon is very funny in it & has a pretty singing voice too.

by Anonymousreply 18October 23, 2018 1:43 AM

OP has stated her tightassed boundaries!

by Anonymousreply 19October 23, 2018 1:43 AM

I knew a guy who played it every Saturday at a local theater. He was a show off.

by Anonymousreply 20October 23, 2018 1:48 AM

OP , Were you looking for the "underwhelm me thread?" You could list all the movies you will never see. How do you feel about Grease? or Firestarter?

by Anonymousreply 21October 23, 2018 2:02 AM

Yes, we can all see how much you TOTALLY DON'T CARE by the thread you started.

This is how my nephew behaves, but he is 11.

by Anonymousreply 22October 23, 2018 2:08 AM

R22, tell me more.

by Anonymousreply 23October 23, 2018 2:10 AM

I don't believe it's ever been on TV, OP. That's why you haven't seen it

by Anonymousreply 24October 23, 2018 2:36 AM

Hilary from HGTV "Love It or Leave It" was in that movie

by Anonymousreply 25October 23, 2018 3:05 AM

Op you’re a hotdog

by Anonymousreply 26October 23, 2018 3:15 AM

If you loathed Hillary Clinton and George W. Bush as much as Susan Sarandon, we wouldn't be stuck with Trump right now.

Quit making excuses for Hillary Clinton -- an Iraq war authorizer and corporate suck-up / sellout.

by Anonymousreply 27October 23, 2018 3:19 AM

A 1975 movie musical about a transvestite in a haunted castle is somehow all about Hillary Clinton

by Anonymousreply 28October 23, 2018 3:23 AM

What the fuck? Where did r27 come from? What is happening to this board?

by Anonymousreply 29October 23, 2018 3:28 AM

I'll never see Six Degrees of Separation and Tie Me Up Or Tie Me Down but that doesn't mean they are bad movies.

by Anonymousreply 30October 23, 2018 3:32 AM

[QUOTE]What the fuck? Where did [R27] come from? What is happening to this board?

What's happening? Borises. That's what's happening. The Boris at R27 has had too much wodka and got triggered because someone dared to express dislike for Putin's Mata Hari (Susan Sarandon). As one of Putin's minions, he has a sworn duty to defend her at any cost.
