r11 - TRUTH. I had urinary retention after day surgery and anaesthesia. Went home and immediately vomited, then panicked when I couldn't pee AT ALL (after bags of fluid were dripped into me). It was the world's worst feeling, like my entire insides were going to explode. Back to the emergency room I raced. I have no idea what the resident who catheterized me looked like. I was SO grateful, except that they sent me home with a catheter and told me I'd have to use it for 10 days. After 5 days, I begged my personal physician to take it out, and he did. When male plumbing goes awry, sex is the LAST think on a person's mind. I don't wish it on anyone here - except for maybe some of the Russian trolls on the political threads.
