I think he wants to spend as much time with Matt as possible. Did you notice ever since they started dating Lee barely leaves NY apart from their vacations? The first six months he never left Matt’s side with the exception of a few weeks of filming Driven which was an older agreement anyway, he had to. He wasn’t working on other projects or doing anything else on his own like running, CI, traveling.

The job he took after that was AiA which let him stay in NY, and since AIA ended he’s been glued to Matt for 3 months with no work except showing up at the festivals for a day or two. It reminded me of something I've been curious about.

Lee had instagram long before Matt, right? He posted selfies and pictures of different places taken by himself. He practically never posted pictures of other people (that did not change) and rarely posted pictures of himself taken by other people (i.e. non-selfies).

Then about a year ago there were suddenly pictures of him shot by an unknown photographer. Remember? In the dunes with the dog, wearing a pink shirt at sunset, black & white shot at the ocean. This was about the time he started dating Matt, presumably Matt was the photographer. Ever since that time the majority of pictures in his instagram are pictures of himself taken by Matt (or someone else, but I think mostly Matt).

Why?

It’s not like he had no one to take his pictures before. He dated other people, he hang out with friends. If he wanted to post this kind of pictures, he could have done it. But he didn't, not until Matt.

Back in the AL days, there was a photo which AL's friend Veronica Borchers posted from Lee's kitchen, and there was a pair of heavy-framed men's glasses on the counter which looked like the ones Lee wore in photos with Sally years ago. Most of the time he is wearing contact lenses, and it's not uncommon for people who wear contacts to need a break from them once in a while and wear glasses. If he is squinting, it may be that he needs an adjustment or there is glare which is making him squint.
