Alias Smith and Jones

Duel (spelling?) killed himself years ago. Yet another thing Sally Field forgets to write about in her lousy book (they were dating at the time).

Have not seen any recent pics of Murphy, but he was on NCIS or some other similar show about ten to 15 years ago. I am assuming he was cast on Alias Smith and Jones because his looks were somewhat similar to Paul Newman. He had aged like Paul -- looked good in silver hair and remained trim. Not sure what he looks like now, but he was still pretty handsome into his 60's. Definitely worked the distinguished older gentleman look.

Smith and Jone was not the greatest show, but they were not only handsome and looked good in their 70's style tight jeans they had TV cowboys wear they had some nice charisma. They were not just some wooden pretty boys.

When he was young he resembled a (young) Paul Newman.

R1 - are you sure they were "dating" when he committed suicide? She was married to Steven Craig from 1968 to 1975. She was pregnant at the time of his suicide. Is it possible they were dating when they were both on Gidget?

Yeah, maybe, but I do remember her being upset with his suicide -- though you'd never know it from her book. That book leaves out a lot of interesting stuff, though, especially her movies.

Her PLAYBOY interview was actually more informative and detailed. I remember her talking about her Rolls Royce that kept overheating.
