Are physically attractive people more likely to be narcissists?

It's not generally true that attractive people are narcissistic until age... fifty or so.

Some young people are attractive by accident or dont' realize how good-looking they are, and if you don't believe me go to the Pacific Crest Trail and check out the hot young guys with scruffy hair and washboard abs. This can hold true well into midlife, nature is just kinder to some than to others. But once a person hits a certain age, staying good-looking takes SO much effort that only the narcissists bother.

OP your statement is simplistic..narcissism goes well beyond vanity.

Depends if they have more brains and talent than beauty.

Narcissists just believe they are more physically attractive than others. When they meet someone who IS far more beautiful than themselves, the jealousy, envy, and rage start to simmer. It will boil over into gaslighting, emotional abuse etc. if they spend any amount of time with someone who is me check more attractive than them.

I have known many an ugly narcissist. And some who go from quite attractive to hideous as soon as the narcissistic qualities appear.
