If so, and if you don't know the song, please go download "Carousel" from 2014's "Songs from the Vault." I believe it's a cover.
I can't listen to it without crying. I know, Mary! It's just so goddamned lovely. Red wine helps but not necessary.

Wait until she kicks you in the vagina bone. Then you'll really be crying!

I love her. The Victorian aesthetic, the witchcraft, the koo-koo-bananas, the voice, the whole package.
She's like the love child of Merchant-Ivory-era Helena Bonham Carter and Cyndi Lauper.

No.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | September 29, 2018 11:55 PM |
She's a delightful artist.
But I don't envy all the Fleetwood drama and I don't know whom to blame.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | September 30, 2018 12:44 AM |
I kind of try not to know too much about some of my favorite bands.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 30, 2018 12:52 AM |
She is hard not to love. Without her, there never would have been a Fleetwood Mac to begin with. Her songs are by far the most iconic and memorable.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 30, 2018 1:09 AM |
She's a cunt.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 30, 2018 1:22 AM |
I love her. I like singing, her creative drive, and she's really a very interesting interview.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 30, 2018 1:40 AM |
Like her? Not much. I've liked a few of her songs. But she seems awful, totally self-absorbed and and dipsy. Her ego is right up there with Madonna's. Some Rolling Stone article had her talking about her relationships with men in her declining years. She was dating a guy (presumably much younger) who was a waiter. She was ashamed to be seen in public with the poor fellow because he was a lowly waiter; she was ashamed to be seen with him because "I'm STEVIE NICKS!" What an ego-driven cunt.

I don't like her as an individual, no, but I enjoy the Fleetwood Mac material and a number of her solo singles from the 80's too. She's written and produced some classic rock and has an iconic sort of image. But as a person, no, especially not from the 90's and beyond. She's too obsessed with the money, materialistic stuff, her own mythology. Hate her flat voice and dead-eyed face.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 30, 2018 1:47 AM |
LOVE her - have always loved her unique voice, and she's had so many great songs.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 30, 2018 1:47 AM |
R9 I don't the article (nor her) said that if I remember correctly
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 30, 2018 1:48 AM |
Love her, but best song on Songs from the Vault is Mabel Normand. So classic.
My favorite two albums are Wild Heart and Rock a Little

To me she always seemed like a joke, twirling around onstage in chiffon, wearing those sky high platform boots, singing those silly songs about crystal visions and the velvet underground. But she's one of those performers whose fans insanely adore her. Her fan base is exclusively female, isn't it? I think her fans like to fantasize that they're her, twirling around in satin and chiffon, dating all those rock gods. But the reality is that Stevie Nicks was always VERY fucked up.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 30, 2018 3:33 AM |
This reminds me of the wonderful old Stevie Nicks thread here, where someone captured her whirling excess perfectly.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 30, 2018 3:52 AM |
Yes, love her.. more for who she is than her music (though I love her music as well). Her rock n roll lifestyle and survival through it all and she keeps on ticking. Saw in concert a few years ago and sat in awe of the talking/stories. As a lesbian I like to believe she had a few female groupie flings.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 30, 2018 4:02 AM |
Yes she has had a few female things most notably with Sheryl Crow.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 30, 2018 4:06 AM |
No, not really. She sounds like a goat. (And no, this has nothing to do with that South Park park). I always thought she sounded like a goat as a kid (no pun intended) with that vibrato she has or whatever the hell that is called (some call it a tremolo).
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 30, 2018 4:23 AM |
*has nothing to do with that South Park EPISODE, I meant. (Ugh)
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 30, 2018 4:24 AM |
I LOVE Stevie.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 30, 2018 4:43 AM |
One critic called her voice as being reminiscent of a "nanny goat with a head cold."
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 30, 2018 4:51 AM |
No, I don’t like her. I wouldn’t own any Stevie Nicks music but I have softened on her since my younger days and see her as a living legend of sorts and more power to her for her longevity and being herself. Gee, maybe I do like her after all.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 30, 2018 4:57 AM |
I would have loved to party with her back in the day. I bet she was a blast.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 30, 2018 5:40 AM |
I LOVE TO BLOW COCAINE UP HER ASS!
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 30, 2018 6:06 AM |
She's 70 years old and lonely.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 30, 2018 10:43 PM |
She looked great on American Horror Story.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 30, 2018 10:48 PM |
There's a hilarious YouTube video where she's demanding drugs: "Robin, Debbie, I want a toot", "It would be great to smoke a joint", "Debbie, I want a toot now", "I need to smoke a joint."
by Anonymous | reply 29 | September 30, 2018 10:52 PM |
Dreams is one of the best songs EVER. How can you listen to that and not feel peaceful?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 30, 2018 11:12 PM |
She goes off to do coke at the end of the Red Rocks concert. Lori Perry even motions that she's going to do it. It's at the end of Edge of Seventeen.
She got on a plane and went to Betty Ford after the show.

I love solo Stevie Nicks without the Mac.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | September 30, 2018 11:18 PM |
I would love to hear all of her stuff from1985 to present re-recorded with 1981 Stevie (Belladonna era) doing the vocals. I wish she had never done a single line of cocaine nor smoked a cigarette in her life. I’m sure Stevie wishes that too.

I like that she was a way better songwriter than Lindsay Buckingham.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | September 30, 2018 11:40 PM |
I enjoyed her role in their reunion concert and album The Dance, her phrasing of Rhiannon. Also, Planets of the Universe, and some of the crazy remixes of it. I like when Grace Slick praised her on a VH1 Women of Rock countdown (“0h, the witch! I love her”).
by Anonymous | reply 35 | September 30, 2018 11:41 PM |
LOVE her songs and voice - unique.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | September 30, 2018 11:49 PM |
The only reason she was in Fleetwood Mac was because she was with Buckingham and he insisted they take her if they wanted him. Then Nicks turned out to be the "big star" of the group so no wonder Christine fucking hated her. Well that and the fuckorama that went on among the band. I saw them in concert several times during their heyday. They were all solid, talented musicians, Nicks was the only one with real stage presence.
Still, I thought Stevie Nicks was just "okay" as a Fleetwood Mac member. I grew to like her more as a solo singer/songwriter. I don't understand the repeated threads on her here unless it's the lesbians. Most gay men have no interest in her at all.

"I like that she was a way better songwriter than Lindsay Buckingham."
Uh, no. "You Can Go Your Own Way" is better than anything Nicks has ever done. And Nick's songs would be nothing without Buckingham. He would transpose and arrange them and make them into something better than the original. Even Nicks admits that he had a lot to do with her songs. During a documentary Buckingham said that when things got really acrimonious between them (they had broken up and Nicks was involved with Don Henley and Mick Fleetwood, among others) there were times when "I would not..want..to...HELP her." Without him, she would be nothing.

Lindsay had nothing to do with any of Stevie's solo material. Bella Donna put her on the map as a solo star and rightly so. And she cut short her first solo tour to return to Fleetwood Mac to do the Mirage album. Lindsay up and left them high and dry during Tango in the Night.
Lindsay's great in his own right, but Lindsay clearly resents Stevie's success and has for a long time.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 1, 2018 12:14 AM |
"Lindsay had nothing to do with any of Stevie's solo material."
Maybe HE didn't, but other musicians more talented than Nicks did, like Tom Petty and Don Henley. She had affairs with both of them. Also an affair with Jimmy Iovine, who was instrumental in creating the material on her most successful solo efforts. She depended on men to help her a lot.
And if Lindsay Buckingham "resents" Nick's success it's probably because he's never gotten enough credit for it.
