I'm loving the "cultural appropriation" reproach. It's such a bullshit concept.
In this case, I don't even understand why it would theoretically apply: she's black, therefore has African ancestry, and Voodoo has its roots in West Africa (Togo/ Benin are its epicenter), so it shouldn't be an issue at all.
Is it because she's not Afro-Caribbean, do you think? Or is it just because she's not a Voodo practitioner? Because if that's the case, then everyone who attended this year's Catholicism-themed Met Gala needs to be named and shamed.
