Barbra Streisand and Jessica Lange to star in Ryan Murphy's "The Politician" for Netflix

During an interview for a French magazine earlier this year, Lange confirmed signing on to a new series for Netflix to begin shooting this fall. Her official Twitter fanpage has announced the series is "The Politician" with Babz and shared a snap of Lange on the set. Official announcement coming soon.

As part of her ongoing preparation for the lead in Gypsy, Ms. Streisand will be playing Jessica Lange's daughter in the Netflix project.

by Anonymousreply 1September 14, 2018 5:21 AM

lmao @ R1

I can't wait to see these two dames together. They are going to kill it!

by Anonymousreply 2September 14, 2018 5:27 AM

The premiere will probably spark one of those 700 response threads on data lounge.

by Anonymousreply 3September 14, 2018 5:42 AM

R3 It's going to be glorious. I'm predicting at least 15 threads.

When Feud was on, the DL managed 10+ threads which had it ALL: Lange fans massacring Faye Dunaway fans, Erna scatting everywhere, Matt The Poppins Loon being slayed by both Jess and Faye fans and cock and ass pics galore. So much fun!

Muriel needs to tweet this thread.

by Anonymousreply 4September 14, 2018 5:46 AM

He needs to cast Faye in this. I don't understand why he doesn't throw her a bone.

She deserves it, dammit!

by Anonymousreply 5September 14, 2018 5:49 AM

I love them both, can't wait!

by Anonymousreply 6September 14, 2018 5:50 AM

Babz, The Lange, Goop... This is going to be epic.

by Anonymousreply 7September 14, 2018 5:56 AM

BARBRA.

by Anonymousreply 9September 14, 2018 6:08 AM

Yes, we know R9. It says So in the title.

So, per Wikipedia, this is the premise:

[quote]The Politician is set to revolve around "the politician aspirations of Platt’s Payton, a wealthy Santa Barbarian, and every season will revolve around a different political race his character is involved in."

I predict Babz is playing his mother, Goop the wife or campaign manager and Jess a crazy politician competitor.

I wonder if they'll be releasing the whole season at once as per usual on Netflix.

by Anonymousreply 31September 14, 2018 4:20 PM

Hire Mamacita Ryan....we want Jackie back!

by Anonymousreply 32September 14, 2018 4:29 PM

He needs to hire some interesting old gentlemen legends. After seeing him in Book Club (dreadful, btw), and because he was mentioned up thread, Richard Dreyfuss would be perfect for a political comedy.

Al Pacino and Dustin Hoffman would be fun, too.

by Anonymousreply 33September 14, 2018 4:33 PM

Judy Davis is in this, too.

by Anonymousreply 34September 14, 2018 4:39 PM

R34 How do you know this?

She would make a great addition!

by Anonymousreply 35September 14, 2018 4:43 PM

OMG Judy also. I really really hope this doesn't suck. I'm not a fan of Murphy without Jessica so maybe this will be good. I don't ever recall a musical drama being successful on TV...

by Anonymousreply 36September 14, 2018 4:43 PM

The Judy Davis addition is only a rumor.

by Anonymousreply 37September 14, 2018 4:51 PM

Eddie Murphy? He can sing is he in this? Zooey Deschanel?

by Anonymousreply 38September 14, 2018 5:07 PM

Now if Eddie Murphy is in this I will be mad. Can't stand that asshole...

by Anonymousreply 39September 14, 2018 5:12 PM

So, this is a political musical comedy? This could be disastrous or glorious.

It really depends on who Murphy is teaming up with. Any writers or directors officially announced yet? Didn't see any on the wiki page posted above.

by Anonymousreply 40September 14, 2018 5:17 PM

wait, this is a comedy? I thought this would give Barbra a chance to exercise her acting chops again a la The Way We Were.

by Anonymousreply 41September 14, 2018 5:27 PM

R41 Knowing Ryan, there will be plenty of drama in this. I'm glad it's not strictly a drama.

And of course we get to see/hear Babz breakout into song during political discourses.

by Anonymousreply 42September 14, 2018 5:33 PM

Babs is what? 85 years old? At least! There will be no breaking out into song. You will barely be able to recognize her behind the smoke and mirrors.

by Anonymousreply 43September 14, 2018 5:55 PM

R43 You really think Ryan is going to put Streisand in a musical and not have her sing?

by Anonymousreply 44September 14, 2018 5:58 PM

she will sing but will not "break out into song". As if.

by Anonymousreply 45September 14, 2018 6:01 PM

R45 This is a Ryan P. Murphy production. A musical COMEDY, to boot.

by Anonymousreply 46September 14, 2018 6:09 PM

107 year old superstahs do not "break into song". Except Liza.

by Anonymousreply 47September 14, 2018 6:11 PM

I thought Jessica Lange was retired? She's been announcing her imminent retirement for over a quarter of a century now.

I guess she changes her mind when her sole benefactor deigns to cast her. When's the last time she appeared on our screens in something that wasn't his?

I suppose she's comfortable with it. After all, its well-established her career began on the casting couch and most of her roles have been gained through... personal relations (of all varieties).

by Anonymousreply 48September 14, 2018 6:13 PM

[quote]The premiere will probably spark one of those 700 response threads on data lounge.

R49 So true, lol.

by Anonymousreply 51September 14, 2018 6:23 PM

Ay, si...

by Anonymousreply 52September 14, 2018 6:36 PM

Ryan wouldn't have gotten this cast unless it was really, really good. I'm talking People vs. OJ quality. It's also his first show after signing the huge contract with Netflix, so there's a lot of pressure on him to deliver something exceptional. I heard he's pulling out all the stops with this one.

I don't know if Barbra is appearing as an actress on the show, but she's agreed to direct one or two episodes. I'm curious to see how she directs Jessica Lange. I can also see Helen Hunt directing some episodes since she did such a great job on Feud.

by Anonymousreply 53September 14, 2018 7:28 PM

So it's Glee in politics?

by Anonymousreply 54September 14, 2018 7:43 PM

R53 Wasn't Streisand playing Platt's mother already confirmed? I do think you're right about her directing a few episodes, too.

Helen Hunt's episode (#7, I believe) of "Feud" was fantastic so I wouldn't mind seeing her return to helm one or two episodes of this show.

Also, I didn't realize this would be the first released show under Murphy's $300 million deal with Netflix. Here's hoping it delivers!

by Anonymousreply 55September 14, 2018 8:37 PM

I'm one of e few dreaming of Barbra doing Gypsy . U would assume RM could make it happen.

by Anonymousreply 56September 14, 2018 9:12 PM

Babz doing Gypsy in her 70's would be divine.

by Anonymousreply 57September 14, 2018 9:15 PM

Did not RR do it in her 60s ? Easily today’s woman in her 70s look 60 or younger. There has been many male stars doing cgi in early scenes to look younger.

by Anonymousreply 58September 14, 2018 9:21 PM

Jesus, Ryan Murphy has been de-aging women of a certain age in his shows since his Nip/Tuck days. He did it with Vanessa Redgrave to make it look like she got a face lift, he did with with Jaqueline Bisset, and there have been a few episodes of AHS where he did it with Lange. It can sometimes be jarring, but if he were to end up doing Gypsy with Babs, I assume he'd do that for at least the first 30 minutes of the movie.

I didn't even know this show was going to be a musical. This sounds so bizarre.

by Anonymousreply 59September 14, 2018 10:19 PM

I assume we haven't seen any shots of Babs yet because she's insisting on shooting all of her scenes against the green screen in her mall and being pasted in later.

by Anonymousreply 60September 14, 2018 10:19 PM

I hope her role isn't a large cameo every episode.

by Anonymousreply 61September 14, 2018 10:24 PM

by Anonymousreply 90September 15, 2018 4:52 AM

I remember that Life magazine coverstory. Jessica just had a baby so she was a little self conscious about her weight. Goldie was five months pregnant. And Barbra was shy and a little nervous, which, apparently, is how she is in social situations.

It’s nice for Jessica that Ryan Murphy keeps giving her jobs. I still think it’s odd no one else wants to work with her. This sounds awful but maybe it will be campy.

That Life cover was about actresses who had film production companies. Jessica’s was a failure.

by Anonymousreply 92September 15, 2018 4:57 AM

That pic is so cute, R91.

R92 Lange produced one film and it scored her an Oscar nomination. Not too shabby.

by Anonymousreply 93September 15, 2018 4:58 AM

Lange also told that French magazine that she's shooting a film this fall. Could it finally be The Lonely Doll?

Rumors are it's Gary Oldman's "Flying Horse".

by Anonymousreply 99September 15, 2018 5:20 AM

[quote]It’s nice for Jessica that Ryan Murphy keeps giving her jobs. I still think it’s odd no one else wants to work with her.

Jessica is pretty much retired, or semi-retired. She has made no bones about the fact that she doesn't like to work, so it takes the prodding of friends like Ryan Murphy to entice her back, usually with meaty dramatic parts and not just throwaway roles. I think I read that Jessica said she'll do this limited series for Netflix and one more movie and that's it. She's done.

by Anonymousreply 100September 15, 2018 5:25 AM

Lange has always been a mercurial creature. She first announced retirement in 1992, lol. I love that about her, though. She throws herself so fully into her roles that by the time she's done, she's usually emotionally and physically drained.

Her relationship with Ryan Murphy is truly a win-win situation for the both of them. The fans just LOVE her on his shows and she always boosts ratings for him and gives him critical respect. In turn, he gives her some fantastic off the wall shit to do, which we all love to watch. When AHS is on, her name trends even when she hasn't even been on the show in 4 years.

Gia Coppola was interviewed in the summer and confirmed that The Lonely Doll with Lange and Naomi Watts is still a go, so I suspect that's the film Lange mentions here in the French interview:

by Anonymousreply 103September 15, 2018 5:50 AM

R103 She's got one more run as Constance Langdon on AHS coming up. She's doing this project with Babs. She's got The Lonely Doll coming up and her wiki says she's "in negotiations" to join Oldman's Flying Horse.

I wonder why Streisand has wasted her sizable talent, and continues to waste it in things like this? She could afford to fund just about anything she wants, so why turn up in Ryan Murphy's latest camp garbagefest?

Maybe she just likes having her ego stroked, which, Murphy certainly enjoys doing. He won't challenge her acting, singing, direction, production. God knows, he let Lange's scenery-chewing run wild.

by Anonymousreply 127September 15, 2018 4:08 PM

The same reason everyone lines up to work for Ryan Murphy. He has a track record of shows that hit the pop culture zeitgeist and are award season darlings. Get real.

by Anonymousreply 130September 15, 2018 4:14 PM

Barbra looks younger and more spry here than Lange has recently. She's definitely in very good spirits.

She's in the recording studio finishing her upcoming album, not for the Ryan Murphy show.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 131September 15, 2018 4:14 PM

It's a shame really, because Streisand is so talented. But for decades now she's treated her career more as a hobby.

Not Lange, who seems desperate for work.

But it's infuriating when one thinks of Barbra's missed cinematic opportunities. I'm not suggesting she should've said yes to Klute, but... maybe someone could've advised her against The Mirror Has Two Faces.

This really seems a sad thing for her to end up agreeing to. I'm sure Murphy lured her in with promises of more camera lens chicken fat Doris Day could even dream of.

by Anonymousreply 132September 15, 2018 4:18 PM

[quote]Barbra looks younger and more spry here than Lange has recently.

Yes. Unlike Lange, I think she stills looks quite good; still like herself (not Caitlyn Jenner's older sister) but 'rested'. She's too old for Momma Rose now, but ten, maybe at a push five years ago I think she might've still gotten away with it. I wish she'd done it for TV in '93 instead of the dreadful Midler.

by Anonymousreply 133September 15, 2018 4:22 PM

Yeah right, she’s “spry”

by Anonymousreply 137September 15, 2018 4:28 PM

And by doing so he got Jessica Lange two more emmys and made her a name to a younger generation r136.

by Anonymousreply 138September 15, 2018 4:31 PM

Her IMDb tells that Murphy is Lange's only source of employment.

by Anonymousreply 139September 15, 2018 4:37 PM

Glenn Close has avoided him and focused mostly on doing good work, as opposed to being fawned over by a pet gay whilst giving a Dietrich or Mae West style screen 'appearance'. She's properly more in demand than most of the others, of course; but she's going to win an Oscar this year, so its for the best.

by Anonymousreply 140September 15, 2018 4:49 PM

Jess isn't the only one to enjoy a drink. Or several.

Feud was a 💩 Turd.

by Anonymousreply 142September 15, 2018 4:53 PM

Yes.

by Anonymousreply 143September 15, 2018 4:55 PM

I wonder if Ryan wants to work with Miss Dunaway. I probably knows it's not worth the stress. I thought she was retired (or unemployable) but she seems to have started working again.

Her Joan was so much better than Lange's.

by Anonymousreply 144September 15, 2018 4:56 PM

Is there a small role for me?

by Anonymousreply 145September 15, 2018 5:58 PM

The previous poster pointed out the main issue I had with Babs' Gypsy. If it was so unfindable, why couldn't she put up the money herself? If she believes in it so much, put up the money yourself. I do think she's way too old now and it'll be laughed off the screen unless they use a spry body double for the first 30 minutes and paste Babs' retouched face on it. It's more than just being too old for the role - she moves like an old woman most of the time. Rose can't be wobbly. In real life, Rose would have probably been 45 tops by the final scene. I wish she'd just stage an all-star concert event of the show (with her beloved teleprompters if she forgets a line) and tape it for HBO or Netflix or even theaters.

If A Star is Born is a hit, I wouldn't be surprised to hear it's back on yet again with Gaga as Gypsy.

by Anonymousreply 146September 15, 2018 6:11 PM

R138. Don't entertain Erna. Between her fetishes for Smegma lined ancient "sizemeat" and bashing Lange, she wouldn't know anything about the younger generation.

Lange trends on Facebook and Twitter for a show she's not even on while Erna over her furiously flicks that oversized clit she calls a dick whilst shamelessly bashing older woman.

Ol' Erna is so transparently and desperately envious.

by Anonymousreply 147September 15, 2018 6:33 PM

Oh, poor Faye. Doing TV ads for defunct fashion houses and scraping her face to unrecognizability.

She would know a turd, wouldn't she? Just another commonality she shares with Erna, lmao.

Jessica Lange...our greatest living actress.

by Anonymousreply 149September 15, 2018 6:42 PM

They should've made Babs "The Politician" and Lange her best friend or Chief of Staff.

They're the ones everyone is going to tune in for.

Also, love the Judy Davis rumor. Hope it's true. Goop being in this is a little disappointing unless he plans to make her a punching bag for the old dames to chew and beat on.

by Anonymousreply 150September 15, 2018 6:49 PM

Does Lange even need to work.? In a Rolling Stone article post Tootsie, they got on a discussion on how she was starting to come into big money with her recent success. Jessica basically waved it off and said she asked her accountant to set it up so that she could have 50,000 a year to work with., or some similar number. Even then she was already looking to leave and focus on other things. I don't think she's ever really wanted financially.

by Anonymousreply 151September 15, 2018 6:56 PM

Oh brother. Lange is over except for Ryan Murphy TV gigs. Ditto 80 year old “spry” Barbara.

by Anonymousreply 152September 15, 2018 6:59 PM

I'm a fan of Barbra and Jessica, so I'll definitely be checking this out.

Is there a release date?

by Anonymousreply 153September 15, 2018 7:00 PM

[quote]Is there a release date?

They are filming it now. Netflix shows finish production before they start airing, it won't be for a while, there isn't an official date yet.

by Anonymousreply 154September 15, 2018 7:04 PM

R69 He also announced "Ratched" starring Sarah Paulson. It's a series based on the character Nurse Ratched.

I hear must of it is Asylum/Sister Jude leftovers from when season 2 was supposed to be set in a hospital.

by Anonymousreply 155September 15, 2018 7:09 PM

He needs to get Liza to guest star in this, too.

by Anonymousreply 156September 15, 2018 7:10 PM

Ryan Murphy is great at starting projects but he is not great at seeing them through. He promises this is going to be an ongoing series, but he usually just does one season or two and then moves on to do something else.

I'm beginning to think that though he's a very creative mind he's a bit of a fraud.

by Anonymousreply 157September 15, 2018 7:22 PM

Murphy has to have severe ADD. I feel like this all started during Nip/Tuck. A great first season, an even better second season, a decent third, a Love Boat-inspired fourth season with celebrity cameos galore to hide the fact that the show was running out of steam, and then...well, I can't even remember the later seasons. They made zero sense and you could tell Murphy had checked out.

He did this with Glee, American Horror Story, etc. He has great ideas and is clearly very creative, but he doesn't seem to be a "big picture" guy. He never seems to care about the taste he'll leave in the audience's mouth at the end as long as he gives them a bunch of razzle dazzle in the meantime.

by Anonymousreply 158September 15, 2018 7:46 PM

Glee was great only in its first season.

by Anonymousreply 159September 15, 2018 7:51 PM

In a weird way American Horror Story was never that good. he had such great ideas, but even from the first episode of the first season he put too many of them in--there was no atmosphere or tension, just one idea thrown at you after another.

by Anonymousreply 160September 15, 2018 7:54 PM

[quote]Glee was great only in its first season.

Truth. And interesting during the promo for Versace, Darren Criss claimed this was the first time he was really working with Ryan Murphy, basically throwing it out there that by the time he joined in Season 2 Murphy was already pretty checked out from the running of "Glee".

by Anonymousreply 161September 15, 2018 7:58 PM

R131 a new album? Again? She has few good strong notes left. She should have retired when she had a voice.

by Anonymousreply 162September 15, 2018 8:22 PM

Bonnie Franklin...our greatest living actress.

by Anonymousreply 163September 15, 2018 8:25 PM

I hear each episode opens and closes with a musical number.

There's apparently a tapdance musical political debate (think Richard Gere in Chicago) that is quite good.

by Anonymousreply 164September 15, 2018 8:28 PM

Yeah, the press releases described it as a "musical comedy". And it stars Ben Platt, obviously he is going to be singing.

by Anonymousreply 165September 15, 2018 8:30 PM

Face it. All of his TV shows suck.

by Anonymousreply 166September 15, 2018 8:36 PM

I didn't think The Normal Heart, The People vs OJ Simpson, or Feud sucked, but okay. You're entitled to your opinion, R165.

by Anonymousreply 167September 15, 2018 8:44 PM

R167 To be fair, Murphy didn't have full creative control over those projects.

Also, OJ and Feud were written and fleshed out before his involvement.

by Anonymousreply 168September 15, 2018 8:52 PM

So was The Normal Heart.

by Anonymousreply 169September 15, 2018 8:58 PM

by Anonymousreply 171September 15, 2018 11:57 PM

Instead of being so pretentious they should just remake the Golden Girls with Barbara, Goldie, Sally and Jessica, since they all are old now. No stupid songs or politics.

by Anonymousreply 172September 16, 2018 12:49 AM

R172 That's actually a good idea. I think The Golden Girls could withstand a reboot/update with it potentially turning out to be quite good.

by Anonymousreply 173September 16, 2018 12:54 AM

Wasn’t that Book Club?

by Anonymousreply 174September 16, 2018 1:03 AM

Maybe Jane Fonda could play Bea Arthur and Sally Field her mother. Barbara as Rose and Lange as Blanche. Goldie could be an ongoing guest star as Rose’s sister Daisy.

by Anonymousreply 175September 16, 2018 1:05 AM

Life Magazine reunion.

by Anonymousreply 176September 16, 2018 1:06 AM

Rose - Glenn Close

Dorothy - Anjelica Huston

Blanche - Holly Hunter

Sophia - Rita Moreno

by Anonymousreply 177September 16, 2018 1:09 AM

Rose - Dianne Wiest

Dorothy - Christine Lahti

Blanche - Kim Basinger

by Anonymousreply 178September 16, 2018 1:15 AM

R174 Hell no. It was soon bad. "Wild Oats", with Lange and Shirley MacLaine, also underwhelming btw, was miles above that crap.

The girls in Book Club, though individually great, didn't have much chemistry, which was a big part of the problem.

R175 I love that!!

by Anonymousreply 179September 16, 2018 1:16 AM

I love Barbra and hope this is true and proves to be a big success.

by Anonymousreply 180September 16, 2018 2:28 AM

[quote]When Feud was on, the DL managed 10+ threads which had it ALL: Lange fans massacring Faye Dunaway fans, Erna scatting everywhere, Matt The Poppins Loon being slayed by both Jess and Faye fans and cock and ass pics galore. So much fun!

The Feud threads were ruined by those insane trolls. Fun?! I was forced to stop discussing the show here because the threads were such an embarassing mess.

Also, Ben Platt would like to remind people that this show is based around him. He is getting ignored.

by Anonymousreply 181September 16, 2018 2:36 AM

I didn't think FEUD was good. My sort of thing, and I loved seeing Sarandon and some other players... but not actually *good*. I never finished it.

I suppose a show on which he simply plops his name onto without giving involved could be good.

But when he's involved it will inevitably devolve into wink-at-the-camera diva schlock that burns out quickly.

by Anonymousreply 182September 16, 2018 8:44 AM

I don't care about his inconsistencies.

I care that we get to see Barbara fucking Streisand and Jessica fucking Lange together on screen.

by Anonymousreply 183September 16, 2018 2:45 PM

[quote] I care that we get to see Barbara fucking Streisand and Jessica fucking Lange together on screen.

I can't imagine them 'gelling' in a particularly special way.

Lange is a very showy actress, who tries to 'steal' attention, as she sees it.

Streisand's performances (certainly her more recent ones) seem to exist in a kind of world of their own.

And I can't imagine she'll allow herself to be seen as playing second fiddle. She's neurotically conscious about that sort of thing, in a way that goes beyond first billing. Her wire-gauze closeups in this will make Angela Lansbury's in Murder She Wrote seem like gritty HD.

Not that I'm not a fan.

by Anonymousreply 184September 16, 2018 3:30 PM

Lange isn't always "very showy" and does "try to steal" attention.

MacLaine loved working with her and Lange respectfully supported her rather than outshining her.

Lange is Ying, Babs Yang. A perfect pair.

[quote]Lange isn't always "very showy" and does "try to steal" attention.

She is. Which is what her fans like about her.

[quote]Lange respectfully supported her rather than outshining her.

I didn't say she was capable of it, just that she tries to.

by Anonymousreply 186September 16, 2018 3:52 PM

Being a showy actor doesn't necessarily make one a bad actor, per se.

Bette Davis was showy and no one comes close to her.

But that's not quite what it means.

Lange knows that praise is more easily won for a more obviously impactful performance and, in the absence of skill, the easiest way to be impactful is to be showy. Loud, hammy, broad. Or 'raw,' 'visceral,' 'intense' as her fans would say.

Well, we all need a bit of that in our lives.

But I can't imagine Streisand, a smart customer, letting her get away with that.

by Anonymousreply 187September 16, 2018 3:57 PM

Streisand still looks good. A bit too sleepy perhaps, but good. It's Lange, who now bears a striking resemblance to Caitlyn Jenner (as she's remarked upon), who really needs the soft focus lens.

But will she demand it? Will Barbra make her stop dying her hair and take off her Spanx?

by Anonymousreply 193September 16, 2018 5:40 PM

Why is Ryan the only person who will hire Jessica? Is it her limited range? Her drinking? Her diva attitude? She seems to be on some kind of black list. I am the lead.

by Anonymousreply 194September 16, 2018 5:44 PM

I'd love to hear some of Lange's drunken mumblings in the background of the inevitable 'Hasbeen (Love Theme from The Politician)'.

by Anonymousreply 195September 16, 2018 5:48 PM

You're testing me, Erna (R194 / R195)…

by Anonymousreply 197September 16, 2018 6:24 PM

Substitute hammy for showy and you have it about right. And Jessica is no Bette Davis. Jessica’s films stink and she stopped being cast until ghoul chaser Ryan Murphy came along. This looks like typical campy TV trash.

They will slay.

by Anonymousreply 199September 17, 2018 3:08 AM

It's probably shit, because Babs always has shitty taste in scripts. She says she's done with acting for a bit and then announces she's starring in another movie and it's always a turkey. I actually think she's a pretty good director, though, and had she been a bit younger, she'd have probably made something out of Gypsy. I heard the script she had for it was pretty great. Maybe Ryan will make that for her now.

by Anonymousreply 200September 17, 2018 4:14 AM

R91 It was not very sisterly of Jane and Sally to refuse to share the names of their excellent plastic surgeons with Barbra, Goldie, and Jessica, who, sadly, had to look elsewhere.

I wanted to ask you a little bit about your upcoming projects. I know that you were working on a show with Ryan Murphy potentially, yes?

No, no, no. We were in talks about it, but I had to do my album. He wanted me to play a part in a very good script called “The Politician,” and when I turned it down he hired Jessica Lange, who’ll be brilliant. And it’s with Gwyneth. But I wanted to make my album. I couldn’t devote the time to that.

by Anonymousreply 213November 4, 2018 9:59 PM

So, wait...is this still a musical? I know Ben and Gwyneth can sing quite well, but all I've heard of Lange singing has been on American Horror Story and she's definitely of the Marlene Dietrich school of singing i.e. not much range.
