White guys solve crimes in San Diego? Ummmm... ok?
The guy with the mustache was definitely hotter than the blond pretty boy.

Take your racist hate thread somewhere else. I'm sure there's plenty of sites for your type.

I’m pretty sure it was a TV show for human beings to watch on television for entertainment purposes.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | September 9, 2018 11:43 AM |
Simon and Simon aren't really brothers, only on television
by Anonymous | reply 4 | September 9, 2018 11:50 AM |
What was the point? What was the POINT?
What a dumb-ass question. Are you new to the existence of television, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 9, 2018 12:20 PM |
For me the point was to see Jameson Parker shirtless so my preteen penis would get hard.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 9, 2018 1:25 PM |
If for nothing else it was good for the 2 hot sexy men we got to ogle for an hour every week. Jameson Parker was pretty, but Gerald McRaney was pure husband material. Pure raw sex appeal, that one.

The premise of the show was the extreme personality difference between two polar-opposite brothers. That’s where most of the drama of the show came from — they run a detective agency and go about solving each case in completely different ways.
It’s basically Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in the 1980s.
The show is a perfect case study in how time slot means everything on TV. In its original slot it languished and came within a hair of cancellation. It got moved to air after Magnum PI and became a hit.

Were they supposed to be considered goof looking?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 9, 2018 2:35 PM |
Schimon and Schimon.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 9, 2018 3:31 PM |
OP isn't just a cunt, he's also an imbecile. Take out the "in San Diego," and he's just described half the tv shows of the 80s.
White guy solves crimes in Hawaii.
White lezzies solve crimes in New York.
White frau solves crimes everywhere.
I could go on. Why single out S&S?

Americans love detective shows. Duh.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 9, 2018 3:44 PM |
I'll take the blonde on the left please.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 9, 2018 4:03 PM |
OP has excessive nosehair. It can lead to weight gain and delusions of idiocy.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 9, 2018 4:04 PM |
Loved blondie
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 9, 2018 4:15 PM |
Jameson Parker is a TRUMP SUPPORTER (Simon & Simon)
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 9, 2018 4:23 PM |
Maybe OP is depressed.

R14 R19, I just noticed where John Hillerman's eyes are directed in the background.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 9, 2018 5:05 PM |
Didn't Jameson Parker play a gigolo on Somerset?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 9, 2018 5:08 PM |
because Magnum PI wasn't homoerotic enough
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 9, 2018 5:09 PM |
I'd love to paddle Gerald McRaney's butt in those tight jeans!
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 9, 2018 5:12 PM |
Ah Simon & Simon. Remember back in the days when TV shows tried to be entertaining instead of non stop grimdark/grossout? Back when you could just kick back and watch an episode without worrying that if you blinked, you'd miss a plot point that would come up 10 episodes later? Back when you didn't have to do homework on the internet to follow the plot and understand what was really going on?
That's the next show they should reboot now that they've done SWAT, Magnum PI, Macguyver and Hawaii 50.

I love you R25.

How dare you malign this fabulous show!
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 9, 2018 5:52 PM |
Back then I had dreams of sucking McRainey so hard that his head caved in. My young loins burned for him.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 9, 2018 7:32 PM |
Carly Simon, tell us how you enjoyed working on Simon and Simon.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | September 9, 2018 8:51 PM |
And what are your thoughts on Paul Simon? Was he the most talented of the brothers?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 9, 2018 10:09 PM |
Gerald McRaney - oh my yes.
BTW, I want a mash-up of DL's Larry King and DL's Miss Dionne Warwick - that would be incredible.
