Kate Mulgrew Appears On Ryan's Hope - Over The Phone!
Kate Mulgrew had agreed to appear on the final episode of Ryan's Hope (as Jack's late wife Mary Ryan, a part she played from 1975 to 1978)
But her schedule wouldn't permit her to leave LA and fly to NY for the taping (as she was filming the series HeartBeat)
Her voice-over was done over the phone! Well they had to make the best out of the situation. Watch below

Michael Levin was so hot. There were a couple of scenes of him boxing shirtless or in a tank top, with his muscular arms that made me swoon. He's another actor I thought would go further. He's been retired since the 1990's. Hard to believe he's now 86.

OP, I guess that was remotely clever the way they did that, and must've taken a LOT of work on Mulgrew's behalf, considering she's been a chain smoker since the early seventies.

Talk about a truly non replaceable actress from a soap.
