Which Disney characters are gay?
Okay, lots of people think Queen Elsa from "Frozen" is a lez, but who else? Villains excepted, since they're all gay, which Disney Princesses and Princes and other important characters are gay?
Merryweather the Fairy from "Sleeping Beauty", obviously, and Chip and Dale, and Terk from "Tarzan", the butchy female gorilla who's voiced by Rosie O'Donnell. Duh! And Prince Charming from "Cinderella", but not Mulan. She's just a straight cross-dresser.

Bashful was bisexual, or else the effeminate heterosexual friend.
Grumpy was obviously gay, as well as Happy, but Happy was actually getting laid.
Dopey is the straight college dick that everyone feeds drugs who's just going to end up selling coke and riding around on a bicycle with bags of empties on the handlebars.
Sneezy has the HIV and Sleepy suffers from Chronic Fatiogue Syndrome <-- Queens

Yeah, ALL the Disney villains are gay! Ursula the Sea Witch, Scar the Lion, Hades... and then there's Jaffar, who practically screams "Horrors, FISH!" when his sidekick suggests he marry Princess Jasmine.
Maybe we should be objecting to this.

Prince Charming from "Snow White" may look gay, or like a drag queen with that damn jungle red lipstick, but he's not gay he's a pedo.
The Snow White from the classic film was drawn to look like a half-grown, underdeveloped girl of 11 or 12, and a grown man carries her off at the end!

Marge Champion was 17 years old when Disney hired her as the model for Snow White. She’s always been a very tiny person. When she turned 18 she married the animator. This wasn’t considered as creepy then as it is today.

The whole reason Elsa strikes people as gay is that they left in all the 'skeery-sexy-woman' stuff from her development as the movie's villain. Elsa's dismissive lack of interest in men was intended to be insulting and threatening and a sign that she was the baddie (not Hans.) Also Elsa's sexualized vamping and mildly unsettling flirtatiousness with Anna was meant to make Anna uncomfortable and telegraph to an astute audience that Elsa was very very dangerous and transgressive. "OMG she is kinda acting gay with her own sister!' Once they decided that Elsa's sins were not really enough to condemn her to death by heroic prince -- they literally declared that 'just seeming gay isn't a good enough reason to demonize someone' because they left all the unsettling, kinda gay villain stuff in.
That is seriously why Frozen rocked so much.
Also if Frozen 2 focused on Anna the chances that Elsa would end up gay and celebrated as perfect that way by loving sister Anna are MUCH more likely than them making Elsa the hero of the movie and gay.
No one involved in writing the movie is actually gay or lesbian enough to have a personal stake in telling their own story through Elsa. But Kristen Bell and company sure as hell would like to make a movie about not being an entitled homophobic asshole just because old fashioned fairy tale tropes encourage the demonization of queer seeming people.
But if you read between the lined enough to consider Scar to be gay (and evil) you can also read between the lines and consider Elsa to be gay and Anna to be fed up with all that misogynistic homophobic bullshit that says to her own heroic arc must involve bringing down a transgressive and powerful woman for no reason other than being a big skeeved out that the 'evil' Queen is 'unnatural.'

Tinkerbelle and Periwinkle appear to have been set up as some sort of true love pair in the new Peter Panless Disney Fairies Universe -- but i think they can't be together for some ice magic reason. (What is it, Fairy Hollow?) It was a weird example of Disney scooping Disney because the story appears to be kind of a 'fairies' remake of Frozen that came out a year before Frozen.
Cassandra is constantly coded as Eugene's soft butch lesbian rival for Rapunzel's attention in the TV show. They did give her what could have been considered a male love interest and are 100% definitely not going to have Rapunzel choose her over Eugene, no matter how well things seem to be going. But in the meanwhile she is definitely rocking that cranky lesbian always hanging around the hot chick vibe that makes Eugene's life difficult.
Oaken is gay in Frozen.

Kristoff and Anna are very clearly meant to be a couple in the Broadway version. But the movie and the shorts and the books he is much more like a friend. They even cut down his funny troll song in the last short which is pretty terrible. Kristoff is more likable in large doses than Olaf.

Um the fan art is fan art. No one really has any reason to consider Kristoff to be gay except he is voiced by an openly gay actor and so he can be seen as having that cute gay guy vibe that girls fall in love with.
The kiss in your image is clearly set up to indicate that they are starting a relationship rather than simply 'ending up with each other.' But yeah -- if he doesn't end up with Anna in Frozen2 it will be quite unsettling.

Not necessarily buying Hans or Kristoff of "Frozen" as gay, although the possibility is there. A humble working man like Kristoff isn't going to make a move on a princess no matter how much he likes her, even if he he'd had a triple-digit IQ and some experience of the world to work with. And as for Hans, an ambitious and heartless straight man would be perfectly happy to seduce a useless idiot of a girl if he thinks he can gain from it, and he'd be looking forward to the day he could get a better quality woman throughout.
However, no straight man goes "Eeeew!" when someone suggests he marry a beautiful woman for gain, like Jaffar did.

R13 true that those characters are gay-coded. However THE ROAD TO EL DORADO is a DREAMWORKS picture, not Disney.
DREAMWORKS, for the record, are the superior animated filmmakers and have better characters gay or otherwise (with the exception of recent facepalms BOSS BABY & TROLLS, before anyone cites those). From the '90s up until the late '00s DREAMWORKS stomped Disney's withered ass. I have cheered and cried and jumped out of my theater seat watching certain DREAMWORKS pictures, where Disney leaves me (as a connoisseur) cold.

R3 I've always pegged Simba for gay-leaning bisexual. I mean consider that he:
-is voiced by Jonathan Taylor Thomas (our own qwerty!), Mathew Broderick, and later Rob Lowe -displays bossy showy behaviour as a child, shunning masc activities to sing showtunes (with a female) -has a peculiar fondness for his incredibly-effeminate uncle in spite of the obvious cuntessery of said uncle -has an eccentric elder bachelor (with a spectacularly tasteful treetop penthouse) for a mentor -runs away from home as a preteen to go live with two other eccentric bachelors and learn their 'vegetarian' ways -is so reluctant to return to a Breeder lifestyle in adulthood that he is willing to fuck over his family/tribe to avoid it -mates with his best childhood galpal/cousin just once and stays faithful to her after accidentally knocking her up -has a creepy fixation on his eventual son-in-law Kovu to the point of stalking and taking him out on night 'hunts'

Only he disappeared for 20 years or more to live in a cave with 39 other men and no women. He also spends a good chunk of those years searching high and low for a fab gold statue of an EG (Midus) so he can sell it and buy a mansion.

Erik von Detten played like five minor/obscure roles for Disney and almost all of them were gay-coded imo.
He was Sid Philips (TOY STORY), Andy Brinker (BRINK!), Lawson (RECESS!), Danny (ESCAPE TO WITCH MTN.), Josh Bryant (THE PRINCESS DIARIES), that "sensitive" boy Andrew in ODD MAN OUT for ABC Family, and voiced one of the minor Gods in the HERCULES animated series..
Outside of the House of Mouse he also played Nicholas Alamain in DOOL and the original NIGHT SINS.
