Why not?
Have we discussed the headless corpse in a fish tank?
by Anonymous | reply 75 | February 21, 2021 8:30 AM |
Something fishy about this story...
by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 30, 2018 6:19 AM |
Have the police interviewed the fish?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 30, 2018 6:31 AM |
Sounds pretty interesting. I love headless corpse cases.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 30, 2018 6:34 AM |
Moral: Never lean down too close to the tank when feeding your pet piranha.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 30, 2018 7:14 AM |
Brian Egg sleeps with the fishes.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 30, 2018 7:18 AM |
Have they checked the torso's rectum for...eggs?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 30, 2018 7:24 AM |
Cut or uncut?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 30, 2018 7:28 AM |
Told ya I was hardcore :(
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 30, 2018 7:33 AM |
Stud habitués, please tell us about Brian. Was he a good egg?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 30, 2018 7:37 AM |
On a serious note, it is odd that his neighbors saw people coming and going from the house, as well as someone “frantically cleaning”, and there was no concerted effort to investigate that.
And a crime scene cleaning crew was there prior to anybody knowing of an actual crime? If I understood the poorly written article, the body was discovered afterwards.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 30, 2018 7:40 AM |
You can all fuck right off. I have an airtight alibi.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 30, 2018 7:41 AM |
"He had a good head on his shoulders. We just can't seem to find it."
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 30, 2018 7:42 AM |
“Unfortunate” may be a better word than “odd”.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 30, 2018 7:42 AM |
"Headless corpse in a fish tank."
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 30, 2018 7:50 AM |
The guy frantically cleaning also hired the crime scene cleaning team. He was arrested along with a second person, but police haven't charged them with anything.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 30, 2018 7:51 AM |
Seen one, seen ‘em all.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 30, 2018 7:54 AM |
That cleaning team was head and shoulders above the rest! (Except, of course, for the fact that they missed the rotting torso in the fish tank.)
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 30, 2018 7:57 AM |
Here's a timeline, but it doesn't really clear anything up.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 30, 2018 7:57 AM |
Since this is DL someone will have to say that murderer is kind of hot in a Ted Bundyish, meth-addled way, but it won't be me.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 30, 2018 8:02 AM |
Actually that timeline is helpful, and it's crazy that neither man is charged with murder. Maybe they're waiting for DNA results, who knows.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 30, 2018 11:54 AM |
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 30, 2018 12:14 PM |
24 replies on a San Francisco story, and no one has mentioned the poop map?
You’re slipping, DL.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 30, 2018 2:10 PM |
Egg is an unusual surname. I don't believe I've heard that one before. Egg's neighbor and good friend's name is Scot Free. Only in San Francisco...
by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 30, 2018 2:39 PM |
He's Scot Free in every article I've read, but he's called Scot True in OP's.
And then there's Devon Egg, which sounds like a Scotch egg (Probably from Scot Free's Farm-Fresh Egg Farm) variation that's served with clotted cream.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 30, 2018 3:53 PM |
The murderer is kind of hot, actually. I love how the poster above says it, but doesn't say it, even though we all know what he meant!
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 30, 2018 3:56 PM |
When will the house be on the market?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 30, 2018 4:03 PM |
A “concealed part of the house.” WTF?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 30, 2018 4:11 PM |

I'm not ashamed to admit I was thinking the apartment must be kind of nice if someone was willing to kill for it, and roomy enough to hide an entire torso without being easily seen.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 30, 2018 5:57 PM |
So where's the dog?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 30, 2018 5:59 PM |
R34–the article says the torso was in a concealed part of the house!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 30, 2018 6:03 PM |
That means the apartment has enough room to conceal a torso, r36. It's [italic] roomy.[/italic]
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 30, 2018 6:14 PM |
Per Zillow, that house (228 Clara St.) is worth $1.5M, which means some foreign investor will pay $2.5M cash for it.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 30, 2018 7:19 PM |
Wow that's really sad when a house like that pulls in that kind of $. Where I live you'd get maybe 70k for it or even less.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 30, 2018 7:23 PM |
Can the fish tank be mentioned as "a unique water feature"?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 30, 2018 7:32 PM |
Was there water in the fish tank of was it empty? I'm guessing it was empty.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 30, 2018 7:41 PM |
Body with no head or hands in the fish tank? But the torso and legs and arms were there. Wow that's a very large fish tank.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | August 30, 2018 11:37 PM |
Not big enough for our liking.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | August 30, 2018 11:39 PM |
"Drowning Man To Fish Had Such Slots." WTF was I seeing in that video? The audio is no help as I don't speak Spanish. Was I hallucinating, or did everyone just run away from the body when fish came wriggling out of it?!
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 31, 2018 12:03 AM |
Egg was gay and kept bringing in other transients before this happened, so the handsomeness of the suspect indicates he was brought in to exchange sex in exchange for a can of creamed corn (which is literally what an elder friend of mine once did with a hot homeless guy), and it got ugly.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | September 2, 2018 3:42 PM |
According to Free and Lyuber, Egg had his own dark history with the Stud. They said he had gotten into trouble for faking his own suicide, after losing his job at the bar in the late 1980s or early 1990s. They said they had heard he had broken bottles and destroyed property at the bar before driving his car on to the Bay Bridge and abandoning it. Eventually, they said, he was busted by police for pretending to have jumped into the bay.
Gatpandan, the police officer, said the department does not release information about past arrests. No court records or news accounts of the alleged faked suicide could be found online.

This guy literally lived across the street from me. I would see him walking his dog a lot, but he was pretty reclusive and didn't seem to have friends or any kind of support network. I never saw the vagrants that he allegedly took in over the years, and I didn't see the suspected murderers cleaning up the place or bringing the hazmat team in. Most of this must have happened when I was at work.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | September 2, 2018 4:32 PM |
So where’s the dog?
by Anonymous | reply 48 | September 2, 2018 4:42 PM |
Well ok so he’s faked his death before and the corpse has no head or hands so it probably isn’t him.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | September 2, 2018 4:49 PM |
The ;police released the crime scene photo and it's horrific!
by Anonymous | reply 50 | September 2, 2018 4:51 PM |
not a bad place for sleeping
by Anonymous | reply 51 | September 2, 2018 5:05 PM |
R48 Good question. I have no idea.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | September 2, 2018 5:11 PM |
The Guardian article was really interesting, I read it this morning.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | September 2, 2018 5:13 PM |
Ok R12, what does Trump have to do with this
by Anonymous | reply 54 | September 2, 2018 5:16 PM |
R41 police said there were chemicals poured into the tank. Presumeably that is why the couldn't even determine what gender the body was
by Anonymous | reply 55 | September 4, 2018 6:49 AM |
What happened to the dog?
by Anonymous | reply 56 | September 4, 2018 7:15 AM |
The murderers must have gotten in over their heads. I have the hand it to the Police--they were persistent.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | September 4, 2018 7:29 AM |
OMG, stop with the dog. Chances are it's dead. Either the murder just stabbed it like a piece of meat or he left the mans head to much on for over a week.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | September 4, 2018 7:32 AM |
So one of the guys they arrested is being held on parole violations. The other has been released. Weird
by Anonymous | reply 59 | September 4, 2018 7:33 AM |
[quote]The other has been released
The poop on the streets doesn't get there by it self you know. SF has a shitty reputation to uphold.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | September 4, 2018 7:48 AM |
So where's the head?
by Anonymous | reply 61 | September 4, 2018 9:44 AM |
where is the head......AND the hands???
whoever did this sounds somewhat experienced using chemicals and stuffing him in a fish tank. I wonder if the tank was already there or if they purchased it. It is good that the neighbors were persistent as they only got away with it for about 2 months and it could have gone on for years. This is a good example of why you should be friendly with your neighbors so that if anything happens to you someone will miss you.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | September 4, 2018 10:31 AM |
Maybe he was murdered BY neighbors...
by Anonymous | reply 63 | September 6, 2018 10:31 PM |
The police have apparently definitively identified the body found in the fish tank as belonging to the owner of the house.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | September 29, 2018 9:16 PM |
my friend lives on that street. He said the neighborhood was shocked, and that he thought there were likely drugs involved.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | September 29, 2018 9:30 PM |
Why didn't they just throw it in the Bay?
by Anonymous | reply 66 | September 29, 2018 9:38 PM |
Damn, that's really sad.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | September 29, 2018 9:42 PM |
I’m intrigued by the concealed room.
I want one too, but not for my jacked up body to be stashed in by rough trade.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | September 29, 2018 10:01 PM |
It's a red herring
by Anonymous | reply 70 | September 29, 2018 10:04 PM |
You never can be too careful and my fish tank is small and unconcealed. I guess I'll be cancelling on my late evening rough-trade guest.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | October 3, 2018 10:26 PM |
Look at what a cutie he once was. Sad.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | May 9, 2019 6:22 PM |
He bought his house for 19k back in the 70s. After he was killed they sold out for 1.5 million. They're bulldozing it and building 9 apartments. Insane. Rip.
