The National Enquirer is about to collapse.
Financially-strapped National Enquirer would have collapsed if David Pecker didn’t flip on Trump: WSJ reporter

So, selling the contents of the safe isn't an option?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 27, 2018 4:16 PM |
Sad last days!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 27, 2018 4:18 PM |
So Pecker needs to be kept out of prison so he can scheme the publishing company out of debt (like THAT'S ever going to happen *LOL*)?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 27, 2018 4:20 PM |
Like Playboy, this was an asset that plunged headfirst into obsolescence once the internet arrived.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 27, 2018 4:22 PM |
I hope the whole thing goes down in flames and you can still hear a faint cackling from Hillary Clinton which may, or may not, come from one of the many mean and nasty National Enquirer cover stories.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 27, 2018 4:26 PM |
But...but, they got so many things right about O.J.!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 27, 2018 4:40 PM |
Sorry National Enquirer darling, the old star/celebrity system is dead and social media is far more interesting than you. I know, it hurts. But everyone faces the winds of change at some point.

I'd *almost* miss seeing its headlines at the supermarket, mostly as the seemingly-tame voice of reason next to the Weekly World News' blatant nuttiness & the Star's titillating obsessions with ${whomever}'s Nude Lesbian Romp.
But yeah, the Enquirer is falling victim to the same thing that's turned all but a few newspapers into withered husks of what they used to be.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 27, 2018 4:42 PM |
All fine and well...but who is the hot MSNBC anchor in the clip featured at Rawstory?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 27, 2018 4:43 PM |
They should have just merged with TMZ years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 27, 2018 4:47 PM |
That's David Gura.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 27, 2018 4:49 PM |
I still see 80 year old grandmas buying those rags, and that's about it. Their clientele is about dead.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 27, 2018 4:49 PM |
If both the Enquirer and Trump are on the verge of financial collapse, the world will be better off.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 27, 2018 4:56 PM |
Thanks R11. Sorry to turn the thread all thirsty, but Gura is definitely cute. I especially like this shaggy, scruffy look...
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 27, 2018 5:04 PM |
It was always a haven for homophobia, even as the American culture it was evolving away from it. And then, naturally, become a Trump rag. Good riddance!
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 27, 2018 5:07 PM |
So can someone tell me the difference between pecker and Levin?
They do tr same exact thing for two different companies.
I don’t see any daylight.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 27, 2018 5:08 PM |
R2 Thanks for the first laugh of my day.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 27, 2018 5:14 PM |
I hope Pecker gives up everything on the Trump Treason and Crime Syndicate and then his 'empire' crashes and burns around him.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 27, 2018 5:18 PM |
They charge $5 an issue for that rag now. I doubt their target audience can afford it.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 27, 2018 5:50 PM |
Pecker only took over in the late 90s and ran it into the ground.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 27, 2018 6:08 PM |
R17 Levin is a bit more media and tech savvy
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 27, 2018 7:17 PM |
So, he followed the Trump business model then.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 27, 2018 7:29 PM |
Come to think of it, that was the GWB business model as well.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 27, 2018 7:34 PM |
The national enquire is a trash organization.
Hope it completely falls apart.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 27, 2018 7:43 PM |
yes, but the more important question is WHEN will we see the other stories??? Maybe about other celebs?
