But Sonny isn't that bright-eyed guy anymore, and Will was literally another guy at that wedding. So while I got some old WilSon feel from Will being emotional about remembering the past, it doesn't make me want them to be back together in the present. I mean, as Will trolls like to remind us, not all the old memories were good. Does Will also remember the fighting and cheating as well?

Ron actually came up with the idea for casting her as Susan last year thinking they would never get to cast Eileen. Then they did. He writes in NY. When they couldn't get Eileen this year, he got them to get Stacy, who he didn't know personally but knew from Y&R. They sent him a photo from the stage camera of her as Susan and said you wouldn't know it wasn't Eileen. He thought it would be easy for anyone to do Susan (teeth, glasses, wig) but Kristen is harder.

Hopefully they try for Eileen next year. The only thing is, they may be paying Stacy on the cheap, and you know how this show loves saving money.

Oh, and things had gotten so bad for Stacy, she had left LA for NY to go live with her daughter.

So Paul goes away for a bit and comes back with a new face or if things don't go well for Christopher Sean's career outside of daytime he comes back.

This is why Leo's character shouldn't have been killed off and should have trapped Sonny into marriage. That would have been a great story.

Marlena and John also came around way very quickly to Horita and barely spared a thought to Sonny. But Days has always been plot-driven this way glossing over character logic.

Producing alongside Ganguzza’s Rose Pictures’ is Myra Morris and Jake Alden Falconer.

Andrea and Deidre may be identical twins, but they were mirror twins, so there are subtle differences. Their eyes are different. Their smiles are different. That's Andrea on the left in the picture below, Deirdre on the right.

Thus, when I saw Jake Kositchek strangling someone in Marlena's apartment at the end of that Friday episode, I recognized it as Samantha.

Plus, the show had included Andrea Hall's name in the final credits on the day before the murder -- thus I knew that Samantha was going to be making an appearance.

I was a teenager watching Days back when DOOL pulled the Marlena/Samantha murder thing. I seem to remember the show not showing Andrea in too much detail before the murder to make you think it was Marlena. Worked for me, I was devastated. Later on the NBC affiliate in LA showed the protest going on and interviewed one of the protestor who said she knew it had been Marlena's sister who had been killed. So some staging? Probably. But for a sizable amount of at home viewers, who took soaps much more seriously back then, it was a terrible thing.

My own life back then was pretty much crap back then and I looked forward to a little brightening from Days, so this felt like a stab in the back. The GREAT thing about this arc was some terrific character interaction, especially between Roman and Abe. Talk about chemistry...you could really believe their friendship, and the scenes between them after the murder were some of the most memorable I've ever seen on daytime.

Sometimes she looks a little haggard. Someone suggested that it might be the blonde hair and that could be it. It's probably just me, but she doesn't seem to have that final polish. Or maybe I'm just used to Eileen's botox and fillers.
