I really hope he does not apologize, if he does, do it privately. It was a bad joke (or was it really, truly in your heart of hearts all that bad?) Bianca's stand up can be really fucking dark. I guess the pearl clutching, "distancing" and apology bandwagon is the price for going mainstream.

That joke is actually pretty funny. And it's a fair point - it was THE DRAMA that got brought (for some reason) as a clear attempt for Blair to retain his spot on the show. It didn't work, which made him look foolish. Bianca's just pointing out the facts!

Call me a conspiracy tinhat, but all this outrage over everything is about surpressing critical thought and discussion.

Lame jokes are one thing, but getting violently TRIGGERED by a stand up drag queen known for her raunchy act is, well, asking for it (getting offended).

It's a form of mental masturbation, competition, as well as narcissism. It's all who can be more SEVERELY OFFENDED by something, and it also involves intersectional theory so people get to mention what makes them "special" (trans, disabled, person of color, etc.) and then use it to "win" the outrage-off.

It's a very destructive habit. Using outrage, and relish in the satisfaction you are not alone with your outrage thanks to social media, as a distraction and cast blame and disapproval instead of working on the very core of why this is actually triggering you.
