Babs is 76. How many years does she have left?
We Better Start Appreciating Ms. Barbra Streisand While We Still Got Her

Who cares
by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 17, 2018 4:05 AM |
R1, you should learn to appreciate your elders while they’re still around.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 17, 2018 4:07 AM |
We are opening an urgent care office in the mall just to be prepared.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 17, 2018 4:10 AM |
but I'm still young enough to do Gypsy. Many seventy year old women have small children.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 17, 2018 4:16 AM |
Truth
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 17, 2018 4:21 AM |
She. Does. Not. Need. Us.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 17, 2018 4:51 AM |
She never liked me.

[quote] Babs is 76. How many years does she have left?
One, if we're lucky.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 17, 2018 4:53 AM |
Yeah sorry - this one gets no love. Nasty egocentric bitch who is all about herself and her money. I won’t shed any tears.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 17, 2018 4:54 AM |
Who?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 17, 2018 4:58 AM |
Never liked her very much and her singing is overrated IMHO. Liberace promoted her when she was first starting out in the late '50s/early '60s. I would have thought by now she would appreciate something like retirement. I know I would, as well as the retirement of others such as Paul McCartney or Mick Jagger who are also about Barbra Streisand's age.

I can imagine the small headline above the logo of PEOPLE even as I type:
"The Way She Was!: RIP Barbra Streisand, 1946-2019"
Then below the magazine logo, the actual cover story with accompanying photo: "HEARTBREAK AGAIN FOR KHLOE"

R13 SNAP!
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 17, 2018 5:11 AM |
So it's the laughter we will remember?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 17, 2018 5:12 AM |
1942 R13, not 1946.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 17, 2018 5:12 AM |
We will have Roslyn to carry on her sister's work when Babs is gone.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 17, 2018 5:16 AM |
It doesn't matter what any of you losers think. You're the ones who will die with no one caring. Trust me.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 17, 2018 5:27 AM |
There will be more tears shed, more tributes and more love flowing when Streisand dies than any hating old queen here will get.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 17, 2018 5:28 AM |
It will be sad when Babs shuffles off this mortal coil, but death better stay the fuck AWAY from Ms. Patti LuPone, cause I will go OFF.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 17, 2018 5:36 AM |
I wish she would make one more great film. Or album. Last time I heard her say we wanted to make one with George Michael.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 17, 2018 5:36 AM |
Another great movie would be fabulous. She's a great actress. Another album with several upbeat songs that could be great hits. I love her, but she's done enough ballads. Another Stoney End, please
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 17, 2018 5:53 AM |
Trust me, she appreciates herself enough for all of us.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 17, 2018 5:58 AM |
OP, they heard you over at Turner Classic Movies
August 17th Star of the day: Barbra
"The Main Event" "What's Up, Doc?" "The Owl and the Pussycat" "Funny Girl" "Funny Lady" "The Way We Were" "Yentle" "The Prince of Tides" "A Star is Born" "Up the Sandbox"
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 17, 2018 6:44 PM |
What am I, R24, chopped liver?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 17, 2018 6:55 PM |
Going by her mother, it's likely to look like this:
The Way She Was!: RIP Barbra Streisand, 1942-2040
I'll be dead by then.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 17, 2018 7:35 PM |
R25 Stop the kvetch, bitch!
You are still being whored out on the big-screen at special screenings!
by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 17, 2018 8:22 PM |
Babs, you're swell.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 17, 2018 8:29 PM |
What will Barbra be *most* remembered for?
I'm thinking just the fact that she made herself talked about for decades. The default in memoriam pic will be a stock photo of her early black & white movie. And maybe one with her severe straightened hair to try to portray "the way we were."
But other than that, how has she improved or redefined Hollywood?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 17, 2018 8:30 PM |
Her movie career is probably over. She will release new material in 2020 to get #1 for the 7th decade.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 17, 2018 8:32 PM |
She has nothing to prove, she's done it all.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 18, 2018 12:46 AM |
[QUOTE]What will Barbra be *most* remembered for?
The Way We Were
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 19, 2018 1:13 AM |
Isn't she going to do a TV series? Something political with Aaron Sorkin or Ryan Murphy i think.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 19, 2018 2:18 AM |
She will be remembered long after most of you will be forgotten even by your nearest and dearest.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 19, 2018 2:47 AM |
She sucks all the oxygen out of a room.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 19, 2018 3:30 AM |
R28 CUT!
I don´t like to be called Babs. And skip that cynical inflection at the end. -Happy? sounds judgmental in a negativ way. Try again!
Love Barbra
Cloning my loved ones and having diamonds made out of the ashes of my enemies. Your choice, bubala.

What's Up, Doc? is on TCM now.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 3, 2018 2:06 AM |
Just watched Hello Dolly, she was so charming...and the waiters in the Hello Dolly number were gayer than blazes
by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 3, 2018 2:40 AM |
She was the same age as Aretha.
I guess the feud between them was real. Babs says nice things about almost everyone but had nothing nice to say about Re.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | September 3, 2018 2:43 AM |
Babs has been praised sufficiently.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | September 3, 2018 2:48 AM |
Aretha was the same age as Babs.
Fixed that, r39, you dummy. And what fucking feud?
by Anonymous | reply 41 | September 3, 2018 4:26 AM |
I don't know why DL so enjoys dragging down great Divas. I already appreciate Ms Barbra Streisand, and would love to hang out with her. She loves to talk, and is interested in lots of things. To be honest, I haven't been a big fan of the movies she's directed, but 'Yentl' introduced some really beautiful songs. It's a shame she hasn't worked harder to maintain her voice: she hates practicing and doing scales.
