All for show. I would have thought his pushback to Congress during that "hearing" would have helped his case, but the FBI is clearly doing whatever to battle the constant Trump/Giuliani attempts to undermine its credibility.
It was about time.

Lordy, I hope there will be lawsuits. If Strzok gets fired for his text messages, then we should see every text message from every current WH official, so we can assess their personal conduct.
Was what he did stupid? Yes. Was he disclosing national security secrets to the Russians? No, that was Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 13, 2018 4:24 PM |
Ironically, the very congressmen interrogating Strzok during the hearings said far worse things about Trump publicly during the primaries.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 13, 2018 4:32 PM |
So people who work for the FBI aren't supposed to have opinions? What about all the conservative FBI staff that would leak info to Giuliani?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 13, 2018 4:32 PM |
Just goes to show you how far Muelller is going to keep the central part of the investigation spotless.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 13, 2018 4:38 PM |
Wasn’t he in violation of the HATCH Act though? I know government workers can’t have any political paraphernalia on their desks or discussions at work.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 13, 2018 4:49 PM |
R7, how would a private message between 2 employees violate the Hatch act? It doesn’t. Republicans tried to make some kind of case regarding the Hatch act violation, but that was just more stupid noise on the right.
Kellyanne Conway actually violated the Hatch act twice. Guess who didn’t care? Republicans.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 13, 2018 4:59 PM |
Democrats. Speak up. Fire back.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 13, 2018 5:04 PM |
This is another unjust, bullshit, retaliatory firing. Same with Comey and McCabe. Yet, the incompetent, criminal fuckers who SHOULD be fired continue to fuck up the country (Trump, Gowdy, Nunes, Ryan, McConnell, Conway, Sanders etc.)
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 13, 2018 5:12 PM |
Any Dems who do not speak up should not be reelected.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 13, 2018 5:14 PM |
R11, I have no idea what’s going on with Democrats right now or what their strategy is, but it’s time for them to get angry and speak up, because their constituents are pissed.
I can’t even imagine what Republicans would have done or said if the tables were turned around.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 13, 2018 5:18 PM |
The Democrats are not in power. They’ve been speaking up for months. It’s time for constituents in Republican districts to speak up. Those are the people on power who can actually do something meaningful these days.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 13, 2018 5:24 PM |
Strzok is a hottie. I would loooove to console him.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 13, 2018 5:26 PM |
R13, we all know Republicans will not say or do a thing. I realize that Democrats are not in power, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t be more vocal about this administration.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 13, 2018 5:26 PM |
R14, Strzok doesn’t strike me as someone who will need to be consoled. I think he will be very angry and fight back.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 13, 2018 5:28 PM |
Isn't McCabe suing? I saw a report in mid-June then crickets. When will that case happen? How long does it take?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 13, 2018 5:34 PM |
so when are the scumbags in the NY FBI office going to be fired for leaking to the Ghoul?
Because at the very least, they should be fired and probably prosecuted. What's good for the goose . . .
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 13, 2018 5:39 PM |
This guy was an incredible agent for our country. This is just so damn unfair. I hope he doesn't let it ruin his life. He needs to know many of us thank him for the intelligence on Russian agents he was so instrumental in revealing.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 13, 2018 5:42 PM |
Do we know yet who Pornstache is?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 13, 2018 5:46 PM |
R7 So essentially Tre45onous Tramp's entire Twitter tirades are daily violations of the HATCH act???
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 13, 2018 6:28 PM |
Strzok got a little too smug playing kingmaker.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 13, 2018 6:33 PM |
Goodlatte’s son is criticizing his father’s actions during the committee hearing and encourages people to vote against him. I couldn’t agree more.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 13, 2018 7:28 PM |
R8, it was on a government device. That is, in fact, a violation.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 13, 2018 7:34 PM |
R21, don’t be stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 13, 2018 7:34 PM |
R6 Absolutely and ten agents will step up and take over for Strzok. This issue isn't that he texted a personal opinion, its that he used work equipment.
It's minor, but technically his hands aren't clean and Mueller isn't risking shit.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 13, 2018 7:34 PM |
My relatives are forced to refer to Trump as 45 in their government agency.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 13, 2018 7:36 PM |
His father isn't seeking re-election, R23, so his son is campaigning to flip the seat to the Dems against another GOP candidate. Still, to publicly castigate his father for the latter's role in the Strozek hearing is refreshing.
OP and R6 are right - this is all about optics. Strozek is another sacrificial lamb, though R24 is also correct. Strozek was really dumb sending those texts on his government phone.
R18, I'm wondering the same. Some here stated that an investigation was going on - trying to recall if the inspector general made a mention of it when he was addressing Congress re: the Comey report.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 13, 2018 7:37 PM |
R24, how does any of that violate the Hatch act?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 13, 2018 7:41 PM |
Geez, he's already set up a GoFund Me account.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 13, 2018 7:50 PM |
[quote] Geez, he's already set up a GoFund Me account.
But of course. Without a steady paycheck he needs SOME say to keep Lisa Page in the style she has become accustomed. Fancy ladies dont come cheap.

We were warned about the Hatch Act months ago. Normally, we can do what we want until election year rolls around.
Thanks to the Orange Turd, filling for reelection almost immediately.
I wish I could post the 2 emails we got about it. My agency had to go to legal to confirm what to do. It was unprecedented if I remember right for the Hatch Act to go back into effect so soon.
I am not stupid. My anti-Trump comments are done in person discreetly with like minded co-workers or on my personal cell phone.

Here is Bobby Goodlatte's Twitter account.
He's the son of the Republican Congressman who is encouraging people to flip the district to the Democrats.
He's kind of cute:
