Dogs are the fucking BEST!
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 13, 2018 10:31 AM |
Looks like it might be a Bernerse mountain dog. Aside from being gentle giants, they can be trained to be excellent rescue dogs. Sweet.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 13, 2018 11:30 AM |
No argument here.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 13, 2018 12:36 PM |
Man's best friend!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 13, 2018 2:33 PM |
But the real question is: Is man dog's best friend?
Hmmm, not always.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 13, 2018 2:37 PM |
OP's pic looks like a Keeshond mix.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 13, 2018 3:07 PM |
R7 - that gives me the sads.

"Be the person your dog thinks you are"
(saw that sign in a restaurant)

Dogs are the best. So much cat-love on DL
The most awesome thing about my dog is his almost supernatural ability to appear by my side within seconds of me opening the refrigerator, no matter how far away he is or how deeply he seems to be sleeping.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 19, 2018 12:28 AM |
Dogs are OK but they're more trouble compared to cats.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 19, 2018 12:50 AM |
And they give a hell of a lot more back.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 19, 2018 12:54 AM |
Not true.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 19, 2018 1:03 AM |
R10 I want lobster catching dogs! Those certainly are working dogs.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 19, 2018 1:08 AM |
PIT BULLS KILL
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 19, 2018 1:13 AM |
Your pet loves you unconditionally and will risk its life to save you.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 19, 2018 1:21 AM |
A cat would make sure you never leave the water.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 19, 2018 4:00 AM |
OP and others, do you think the dog in the OP knew what he was doing? As much as dogs “know”, I mean. There are a number of clips on YouTube with similar “savings” by doggos, that do not look like they are trained to be lifeguards.
I miss my old dog.

R22 I don’t even need to read it. Set that mother fucker on fire.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 19, 2018 2:49 PM |
R24, yeah, he’s a normal appearing guy, but terribly messed up. He got a l.o.n.g. prison term.
I don’t use online dating, but the “bar scene” at least gave you a chance to screen guys you wanted to pickup. I think you can usually tell nutcases after a short conversation. I’m not sure that’s true on the Internet.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 19, 2018 2:57 PM |
R24 I completely agree.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 19, 2018 5:48 PM |
There is a scientific book on dogs know when theor owners are coming home! I love my super cute rescue Scottie 😀
by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 19, 2018 6:05 PM |
I love all dogs even pitties.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 19, 2018 6:08 PM |
R23 Yes, I think the dog knows exactly what it is doing. It looks like a Bernese, and they have a very strong pack mentality. It probably recognises the child as a puppy in its pack, sees it in apparent danger, and instinctively acts to remove it from harm.
The instinct needs to be carefully trained, though. I saw a youtube videomajig some time ago where a woman couldn't swim in her own pool without her Newfoundlands diving in and trying to "rescue" her.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 19, 2018 6:13 PM |
For everyone who thinks it looks like a Bernese...
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 19, 2018 6:39 PM |
The big dog in R11 is tied to that treadmill. That’s not a good thing. I was always very careful to make sure my dog wouldn’t choke when tied to a leash. Usually we didn’t tie him. Instead, we put him in a pen. Unfortunately, he would sometimes get out. When he did, he’d usually go visit my grandmother about a mile away. Or, he had a girlfriend a mile and a half away. When we’d drive to pick him up, we’d just find them both sitting in the shade, hanging out in her front yard. What a goober.

You must be the same sicko troll who posts endless fist fucking clips!

That dog in OP is just trying to save his meal

Dogs make the world a much better place.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 21, 2018 12:27 AM |
Squirrel burying nuts in a dog's fur. The doggy is so good; I'd have smacked that rat halfway to Toledo.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 21, 2018 1:08 AM |
I love both dogs and cats. I think both have huge positives and some negatives. It is especially great when they get along.
The only issue I have with dogs is there need to walk/restroom and the need to find someone to watch them when out of town. I can get someone to watch a cat once a day but watching a dog is involves much more.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 21, 2018 1:14 AM |
Yes, and they give back so much more!
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 21, 2018 1:21 AM |
I love dogs. Purebred dog enthusiasts can rot in hell. Millions of dogs are mistreated and euthanized every year, but these Insufferable cunts need to keep making more.

Cats are way better. You don't have to walk them. They know where to pee and poop.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | September 14, 2018 1:32 AM |
And they'll turn on you when you least expect it.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | September 14, 2018 3:01 AM |
Wrong. I had the most loving cat for 16 years before she passed, and my new cat is just as sweet.

"BooBoo," the Love of our Lives -
All she knows is Love and what Love means. When she wants even more Love from us, she stands next to us to place her spongy little paw on our foot, and leaves it there, all while smiling and making eye contact: "I Love You, Papa."
by Anonymous | reply 45 | September 14, 2018 3:10 AM |
Of course the dog on OPs gif knows what it's doing. I love both cats and dogs, but dogs are more high maintenance and need bigger spaces. Cats independence give you more freedom.
