Actors at their Hottest

Watching Hangover and realizing that this was Cooper’s peak. Thinking of other actors and movies where they were at their finest.

Tom Cruise - Top Gun (he was hot for awhile, but then the craziness came out and outweighed the hot)

Brad Pitt - Meet Joe Black

Clooney - Oceans Eleven

Gosling - Crazy, Stupid Love

Mel Gibson - Lethal Weapon

Denzel - Pelican Brief

DiCaprio - Titanic

Richard Gere - Pretty Woman

Keanu Reeves - Point Break

McConnaughey - Time to Kill

Jude Law - Talented Mr Ripley (and nothing since)

Zac Efron in “The Paperboy.” Great swimmer’s physique and a beautiful face. The physique got bigger, often too big, and he lost a bit of the beauty soon after.

I’d pick Bana in “Troy” instead of “Munich,” because that movie really presented him as beefcake.

by Anonymousreply 26August 4, 2018 2:36 AM

WEHT Eric Bana?

by Anonymousreply 27August 4, 2018 2:39 AM

Bana still does movies, but they’re more the type to show up in your Netflix recommendations than in multiplexes. He’s still hot, although I’d like it if he ditched the distinguished gray and went for the Dylan McDermott at 50 look, because he could pull it off.

I hate that Mel Gibson turned out to be such a vile human being. He was so astoundingly good-looking in his youth, it's scary.

Cruise, Pitt, DiCaprio, Depp were never hot to me. Clooney was sexy at Roseanne, but no to much after. Mel Gibson was pretty hot in the First Lethal Weapon, it also helps that he's a pretty good actor and that he hadn't shown the crazy yet.

Chris Pine was cocky, suave and intensely sexual in his first outing as Captain Kirk (as Kirk should be). His chemistry with Zachary Quinto was also perfect. The producers really got the casting right on that film.

Pine has aged spectacularly quickly since then though.

Aidan Quinn in ‘Benny and Joon’. I think most people would say ‘Reckless’ or ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’ but I thought he was more attractive and sexier in his thirties. It may have also been all the plaid and denim he wore in the film.

Richard Gere (was at his hottest in American Gigolo). Tom Cruise (was at his hottest in Risky Business). Mel Gibson (was at his hottest in Year of Living Dangerously). Jude Law (was at his hottest in Wilde). Brad Pitt (was at his hottest in Thelma and Louise). Leonardo Dicaprio was never hot, he always looked like a little boy.

In general, I think stars are at their hottest before they become overly conscious of their image.

Kyle Maclachlan in Twin Peaks, although his dance scene in Blue Velvet with Laura Dern renders them both angelic.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Inception. So trim, so fast, so elegant, so dangerous.

Alan Rickman in Die Hard. Sex from beginning to end.

Not sexy, but as mesmerizingly beautiful as a Bouguereau painting - Keith Gordon in "Dressed to Kill". The face of an angel in a film set in hell. Odd, as although he was a very talented actor, he never looked the least bit attractive in any other film.

Christian Bale in American Psycho. In fact, the whole cast in American Psycho. My God, that was one gorgeous bunch of people and they nailed the 80s look without going overboard.

Another actor I have never otherwise found attractive: Eddie Redmayne in the ludicrous Jupiter Rising. A terrific high camp performance in a movie entirely unworthy of its grandeur.

I know this is supposed to be actors only, but I have to give a shout out to Jennifer Aniston in Bad Bosses. I have never found her all that interesting, let alone attractive, but she was fabulous in that very silly movie and also had the cutest body and the absolute cutest tits. It was the first time I thought she might have a sense of humor, let alone a sexual presence and she played both like it was no big thing.

Gilbert Roland and Ramon Novarro just before talkies changed everything...

Wasn't Romero an easy-going and good lay for all the closeted gay stars of Hollywood? I think like Dietrich he was of the generation that didn't take pains to hide their bisexuality.

I thought Sam Neill was sexiest when he was in his late 30s/early-mid 40s as compared to when he was younger. He was such a DILF in films during that period including ‘Dead Calm’, ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘Sirens’.

I also feel the same about Colin Firth...I actually found him hotter looking in the first two ‘Bridget Jones’ movies than in ‘Pride & Prejudice ‘. To me he looked better with just a little bit of weight on him.
