Child DIES After Being Released By ICE

ICE is now claiming that no child has died in their custody, according to the following tweet this morning. However, they have not denied that a detained child has died:

“The child died following her stay at an ICE Detention Center, as a result of possible negligent care and a respiratory illness she contracted from one of the other children. The events took place in Dilley Family Detention Center in south Texas,”

Peanut butter, I bet. It's cheap and they don't consider allergies in Texas because it's too PC.

Later in the thread r3 linked, the reporter said relatives in New Jersey are being contacted. We'll hear more about this, I'm sure.

by Anonymousreply 4August 1, 2018 3:07 PM

Goddamn those lowlife idiots!! The ICE agents should be in prison along with Trump and Sessions. Kidnapping children is a crime.

by Anonymousreply 5August 1, 2018 3:08 PM

Stephen Miller heard about this and laughed demonically, hoping for more.

Latin Americans are seldom allergic to anything.

Womp, Womp

by Anonymousreply 8August 1, 2018 3:14 PM

Well, I am sure they will release all dead children immediately once they're dead, since they wouldn't want them to die during their official detention.

I have always known that Republicans are vile creatures, I just didn't know how disgusting they were until Trump made his debut. This is terrifying and disgusting.

by Anonymousreply 9August 1, 2018 3:54 PM

R5 bringing illegals over here ILLEGALLY is a crime too

The PARENTS should be arrested for putting their child in jeopardy

by Anonymousreply 10August 1, 2018 4:03 PM

Republicans kill.

by Anonymousreply 11August 1, 2018 4:07 PM

“Respiratory illness”, eh?

Scott Dworkin says in his tweet other children and adults are believed to have died as well.

[quote] It seems other adults and children have died for the same reason. You’re responsible for all of this. You’re committing crimes against humanity. You need to resign, now.

R5, there are legal ways to handle illegal immigrants and refugees. Those ways do not include what the Trump administration did.

by Anonymousreply 15August 1, 2018 5:14 PM

Everything Trump touches dies.

by Anonymousreply 16August 1, 2018 6:42 PM

(R10) Apparently you don't understand the difference between a person arriving at the border, asking for refugee status, and an illegal immigrant crossing a barbed wire fence in the middle of the night and making a run for it. It has always been LEGAL for someone to show up at the US border and request refugee status. It is not granted immediately - there's a hearing, and evidence is presented. Even before, many asking for refugee status through this process were denied and deported, while some were granted refugee status. Under Trump, there has been a zero tolerance policy, which basically turns away ALL refugees and treats them as illegal immigrants. In addition, under Sessions and Trump, minor children of those applying for refugee status were wrested from their parents' arms and put into detention centers, with no plan to ever reunite them.

The family separations were a low point for Ivanka.....

"That was a low point for me as well," she said Thursday, speaking at an Axios Newsmakers conversation on workforce development at the Newseum. "I felt very strongly about that and I am very vehemently against family separation and the separation of parents and children so I would agree with that sentiment. Immigration is incredibly complex as a topic. Illegal immigration is incredibly complicated."

Ivanka also considers it a low point when her champagne popsicles aren't thoroughly frozen.

by Anonymousreply 23August 3, 2018 6:58 PM

Any further developments on this?

by Anonymousreply 24August 6, 2018 1:31 PM

I think the child had some illness and the parents tried to bring the kid here for free treatment but was caught. so sad.

By laws of average, someone is going to die. Don't blame ICE. Don't blame Americans. It's not our problem.

by Anonymousreply 30August 9, 2018 10:28 PM

R10 is correct. Don't wanna hear anything else about it.

by Anonymousreply 31August 9, 2018 10:29 PM

So basically if a family is in a burning building and about to die they should stay there because jumping out the window might break a leg?

by Anonymousreply 32August 9, 2018 10:32 PM

It's not forgotten. The MSM isn't covering it anymore, but people have fucking memories and this is one few will forget. It's also not just people who will remember. This is a crime at a level far beyond human comprehension and will have its consequences.

We actually don’t know how or why this child died. We just know that she did. We can’t even be sure that it’s a “she”.

The people on this thread who are blaming the mother for this are sociopaths. They do not believe that they are, but they are. They will die alone, without any family around to hold their hand during their last moments, just like this child died.

by Anonymousreply 37August 11, 2018 4:15 PM

r40 eats bloody stools....

by Anonymousreply 41August 15, 2018 5:29 PM

Im sure ICE did a version of that suited fellow... who dragged the brown man having a seizure off the train so he wouldn't be late. " Hey Joe, we got a sick one here, time to release".

by Anonymousreply 42August 15, 2018 5:29 PM

R40 agree. Chances some percentage of people are going to die

by Anonymousreply 43August 15, 2018 5:29 PM

yes R40 and your parents are responsible for how you turned out.

by Anonymousreply 44August 15, 2018 5:30 PM

r44 a parent who cares for their children would not break the law and involve their children in the process, putting them in great risk.
