It was one thing for Sam to stay in the closet and not say he was gay, but this takes it to another level.

Don't even ask how I know this but they have been friends/acquaintances for a long time. And by that I really mean just friends. Not sure why but she always seemed like a very hungry climbing actress - she's actually much older than I thought she was - on the hunt for a "famous" boyfriend. I recall some other tweets or IG comments where she or her booster friends insinuated more than friendship. Quite frankly that's what I thought she was all about vis a vis their "friendship" - hoking him - but maybe that was unfair of me. So maybe she finally got what she wanted. Or not.

r16 I know that 'hoking' was probably a typo for 'hooking' (?) but a tad Freudian - 'Hoking' - verb NORTH AMERICAN informal - gerund or present participle: hoking - (of an actor): act (a part) in an insincere, sentimental, or melodramatic manner. Hopefully she has not succeeded in hooking even though she may be hoking, and hopefully he has a RL boyfriend - please, please let it be so. The man is just starting his career. He is in a position to get leading man roles. Let him beard for awhile. If he did come out, it's not like there is a wave of support waiting for him. Gay men and straight "allies" in positions of power in Hollywood do not support gay actors.

R26 You must live in a safe fantasy world. In Hollywood, it most certainly does have a bearing on your success. Lots of gay actors have come out but not one is a leading man in films. Hopefully that will change but right now it's not. Matt Bomer is a good actor, gorgeous, charismatic. Since coming out, what has he done. Bit parts in movies and a few appearances on TV. He should be leading another show like White Collar but nothing. The support is not there. Greg Berlanti, out gay man, has a million shows. None star an openly gay male actor. Any big movies this summer star a gay man? I applaud all those men who have the courage to come out. Some did if from the beginning, others waited to they had established themselves. Each person does it at their own time. If Sam is gay, he will do it when he's ready.
