Mark Strong or Jason Statham would be interesting for Avenatti, as suggested. How are their American accents? Possibly Corey Stoll from Ant-Man and The Strain?
Other than that, I'm sure Louie Anderson would be up for the part of Trump.

Alfred Molina for Trump. Listen to his natural speaking voice-it’s exactly the same timbre as Trump’s. And with the right hair/make up he’d be a good physical match. God knows he could act the shit out of it.
