Intersex has nothing to do with people looking androgynous. It's a disorder in which someone is born with the genitalia of both sexes or fully displays the traits of the opposite sex. In the latter case, the person by all intents and purposes looks like a perfectly healthy, normal biological male or female but has plumbing of the opposite sex. So, an intersex female will have a normal feminine face, normal hips, normal vulva and breasts, but won't have a uterus and ovaries.

Intersex does not display itself as: bio woman with all female plumbing and genitalia intact but has "man hands" or a mannish face. Someone like that may just have a hormonal imbalance, an issue with their endocrine system or some other disorder, like men who develop female breasts (called Gynecomastia).

BTW, the more I track down Rain Dove's photos, the more it just seems to me that she's doing things to emphasize her masculine features. Here she is, in Vogue Italia. She's no less androgynous or masculine looking than, say, Rachel Maddow or KD Lang. It seems she's playing this whole angle to stand out from an ever crowding field in which everyone from transgenders to other androgynous models are now working in fashion.
