I watched the video at the link of idiots bothering the guards. Surprisingly, few, if any, seemed to be American idiots.

I was at Arlington Cemetary watching the Changing of the Guard ceremony. The tomb has a red(?) carpet the guard marches on in front of the tomb and a red rope separating him from the tourists with a sign that clearly reads "don't cross rope". Well, some bitch with a camera started climbing over the rope and the guard reacted instantly. Gun pulled and "ma'am, please step back or I will be forced to shoot" and he repeated it. The woman retreated in shock. Those marines mean business and I'm sure the guys in the clownish bear hats do too.

Try to remember the queen IS the living figurehead of the entire nation. Obstructing her guard from protecting her properly is putting the entire nation at risk in the eyes of British law.
