Do you ever watch shows like American Ninja Warrior of Netflix's Beastmaster?

I watch them if I am very babysitting nephews and nieces. It keeps them quiet and glued to the TV, and I get to ogle some hotties.

I've enjoyed much of the show for several years, but the hosts are A W F U L. The white guy is always yelling at me and his partner perpetually is drop-jawed at something a contestant has done.

The men are uniformly beautiful physically and the most successful are the non-steroided fit men whose bodies are amazing. It should be required that all men perform without a shirt.

They have lots of guys who look like this.

I must confess I love American Ninja Warrior. Not only are the men fit, the obstacles get my adrenaline going. I enjoy the bios and stories behind the contestants too.

i love American Ninja Warrior. The guys are hot but I do enjoy watching their athleticism. I also like following some of the contestants as they return year after year

I agree with r5 though, the hosts are awful. And I think the show does some tinkering and adds in banter afterwards between the hosts and the contestants like when the hosts say something to the defendants when they press the buzzer.

Beastmaster on Netflix is fun, for a little more international flair. I was hobbled up with a sprained ankle, so I caught a few episodes. Six teams from different countries compete on an insane obstacle course. I was amazed at how beautiful all the male athletes from Spain were! Yum!

The problem is they get repetitive really quick with all the contestants doing the same course over and over again

I agree, r17. It's the eye candy that keeps me watching.

It's true. Especially when contestants fall at the same point in the course. It gets tiring - something editing could help.

The backstories are dreadful and take up most of the time.

I mean I’m sure it’s totally staged. And the idiots who are duped by it make me sad. It’s why we have President Trump —Americans are credulous idiots.

I watch it with the sound off and my own music playing. That way I can still see the eye candy, but don’t have to hear the hosts.

I refuse to believe it's fixed R24. Call me naive, but I'm not American.

It’s not “fixed”. It’s a fucking obstacle course. It’s staged, but there’s no pretense about that. You can’t just get up there and run the course, the producers invite you. Sometimes they even pay you. But you’re really running the course and sometimes even the superstars fall.

I watch the Aussie version of Ninja Warrior. I can't believe it only started last year.
