I've said it once and will say it again, if you EVER worked or spent time with theater and cinema/tv people you know it's mathematically impossible for most actors to be straight.
Only delusional fraus would think that. Unlike many here, I've worked in this business for over 17 years (at crew level no less) and my testimony is that most actors really don't hide what they like, it's not some big secret no one has ever seen, with rare excepections like Tom Cruise (who everyone knows hooks up with male hookers on the side).
Most workers sign NDAs when you start a project. Most actors just cuddle and hook up between takes to whoever they want, like they don't give a s*it. Some even proposition to crew members and joke about it. Lots of them are high anyway it's not like they care what you see.
That's what happened to Spacey, everyone knew he was handsy and sported predatory behavior but looked the other way, because, you know, no one is making that much money to risk losing it, though some people actually reported him like his former assistant.
I'd say from my own experience that more than half of the comments here are spot on about the sexuality of the celebrities they're addressing, though I wouldn't call them gay, as several of these actors like Pitt do hook up with woman and seem to enjoy it as much as men. Most celebs I've interacted with consider themselves bissexual or no labels.. whether this is a coup out or a genuine carelessness toward their sexuality it's not up to me to debate.
That's my 2 cents. If you don't believe me, spend a month in LA and go to the hot spots. You'll literally see your favorite celebrity snuggling with same sex partners if you pay attention.
There are celebrities that are considered royalty and paparazzi won't touch them, because there's direct order from powerful moguls to avoid them, but mostly all this supposedly war between celebs and the photographers is as staged as their fake marriages. There's rarely any independent paparazzi out there, because a publication just won't buy your material if there's a ban on the subject, it's that simple. They're very protective of their assets, its all a huge business and a PR to everyone involved.
Mind you some celebs fake marriages for other reasons than hiding one's sexuality, they do it to enhance a brand, their name.
