Jaye Davidson (The Crying Game) Today

Seeing how masculine and weathered he looks today, compared to the cute, androgynous, waif that starred in the movie, makes me apprehensive about the seemingly endless number of MtF transgengers. What's in store for these biological men when they are no longer attractive and people stop watching their beauty blogs or liking their tweets. My fear is an army of angry, hormonal, middle age men will be unleashed on society in the next 20 to 30 years. Am I wrong to thing this way?

You're probably not wrong, but you sound like a huge drama queen.

"My fear is... " yes, that's something to definitely worry about.

"Am I wrong to be a tired, tedious troll?"

He looks OK, definitely more masculine. My favorite role of his was Stargate. Speaking of which, I wonder what ever happened to the Joe Jonas lookalike.

Who gives a shit? They made this choice, knowing full well that the world at large will never be accepting of chicks with dicks. Bad choices suck.

My fear is that they will ingest nitroglycerin and then jump up and down on the elevators in the World Trade Center!!@##

But did Jaye ever consider himself transgendered? I always assumed he was gay.

He was the ONLY femme guy I ever wanted to fuck. he doesnt look bad,per se,but he certainly has changed looks wise. I still love Crying Game and watch it at least once a year.

I think he's quite hot now.

It's interesting how some femme guys grow up to be more masculine.

He looks great, except for the tattoo.

by Anonymousreply 9July 16, 2018 2:12 AM

I looks pretty good now. I also think he looked pretty good then - he was femme and hot.

"He looks pretty good now," not "I looks pretty good now."

He is just gay. I remember an article where he seemed to take offense at the interviewer asking him if he's ever worn women clothes (he hadn't) and Jaye himself couldn't believe people were convinced he was a woman.

If that's a recent photo, he looks great for 50.

by Anonymousreply 14July 16, 2018 2:20 AM

r13 that's what I thought. I get what the OP is saying but I don't think Jaye is a good example. I think he was androgynous but I never thought h was transgender, even back in 1992. it was pretty clear he was gay.

by Anonymousreply 15July 16, 2018 2:25 AM

Huh? He's an actor. He played a transgender before it was this current political thing. Boys like his character were on every street corner of any city. My cab driver yesterday told me he was looking all day for a hot shemale but couldn't find one selling it on the streets.

The surprise in The Crying Game was that he was male, not that he was transitioning. Jaye looks good to be honest, even more attractive now. Truth is he was always a pretty man, not a passable female. He never claimed to be female. I loved Forest Whitaker best in that movie, the rest is a blur Jordy.
