I have crabs!!!!!

And I don’t know who gave it to me! I’ve been with 5 guys this week!

This is so gross!

Yes, it is. And we want to hear all about it, ad infinitum.

You're just down with a case of Miss Baltimore Crabs!

by Anonymousreply 2July 15, 2018 11:22 PM

Make crabcakes OP. They are delicious.

by Anonymousreply 3July 15, 2018 11:23 PM

When life gives you crabs, make crabcakes.

by Anonymousreply 4July 15, 2018 11:23 PM

When you lie with dogs, you get fleas, OP

by Anonymousreply 5July 15, 2018 11:23 PM

Very easy to get rid of. Shave your pubes, buy some RID from the pharmacy.

by Anonymousreply 6July 15, 2018 11:24 PM

You're a whore, darlin'.

by Anonymousreply 7July 15, 2018 11:24 PM

Do I have to shave my pubes?

I’m happy with my bush...

by Anonymousreply 8July 15, 2018 11:25 PM

Whore! Shave your head in shame!

by Anonymousreply 9July 15, 2018 11:26 PM

Surefire way to get rid of them — dip your genitalia in hydrochloric acid.

by Anonymousreply 10July 15, 2018 11:26 PM

No, just get rid and the comb that comes with it . Use the shampoo kill the crabs than comb out the eggs to be sure.

by Anonymousreply 11July 15, 2018 11:27 PM

Unless you want to spend the next several months picking nits out of your pubes, shave'em.

And don't believe for a minute that pubic lice won't wander off into your leg hair and even head hair. I'd get a prescription shampoo and skip the RID.

by Anonymousreply 12July 15, 2018 11:29 PM

Just trim 'em, OP - not a full shave

by Anonymousreply 13July 15, 2018 11:30 PM

Actually, OP, you need to shave your pubes (and chest hair if you have it); wash your bedding in at least warm water, wash all clothes you've worn since your first ho escapade. Rid or A100 works, but slowly. A prescription med works better and more quickly. But it costs.

by Anonymousreply 14July 15, 2018 11:30 PM

Gross, OP. Don’t spread that shit around. How old are you?

by Anonymousreply 15July 15, 2018 11:30 PM

Well if the first trick you had gave them to you, then you proceeded to give them to the next four tricks. Hang your head in shame.

by Anonymousreply 16July 15, 2018 11:33 PM

R15, I’m 28. This is only the second time I’ve had something like this. I’m usually pretty careful. This is worse than last time. I can’t stop feeling itchy, and I’m out with family right now.

by Anonymousreply 17July 15, 2018 11:36 PM

You better inform each guy you were with, just in case.

by Anonymousreply 18July 15, 2018 11:42 PM

Then you got them beofre your first trick this week. You've got a mess on your hands. If you don't do the washing and shaving you can reinfect yourself. Have fun, sweetie.

by Anonymousreply 19July 15, 2018 11:42 PM

5 tricks in a week is how you're usually pretty careful? Or is it that you usually check them for bugs but got negligent last week?

Everything you've worn or come in contact with since the first "encounter" has to be washed in the hottest possible water. Things like pillows that can't be washed should be put into plastic trash bags and isolated for 48 hours (lice can't exists longer than that without a human host). RID makes a spray you could use on your mattress. If you don't shave everything, the lice are going to lay eggs in whatever hair they can find.

by Anonymousreply 20July 15, 2018 11:42 PM

None of this advice is focusing on the eggs (nits), which is why you should shave. The shampoo doesn't kill them, so you have to pick out every single one before they hatch. Good luck with that.

by Anonymousreply 21July 15, 2018 11:44 PM

UNCLEAN!!!

by Anonymousreply 22July 15, 2018 11:45 PM

Grab the Raid and go to town

by Anonymousreply 23July 15, 2018 11:46 PM

Are all millennials this unclean? I’ve gotten crabs twice from hooking up with two hotties.

by Anonymousreply 24July 15, 2018 11:49 PM

If you're out with family right now, you need to inform them why you're itchy. They, like the rest of us, have the right to know.

by Anonymousreply 25July 15, 2018 11:52 PM

Is your asshole itching too?

by Anonymousreply 26July 15, 2018 11:54 PM

They’re currently into cumdumping, R24. Crabs are the worst of anyone’s worries.

by Anonymousreply 27July 15, 2018 11:58 PM

(3) You're a whore, darlin'.

by Anonymousreply 34July 16, 2018 12:07 AM

Be careful. They spread.

Off with the pubs. Hot water wash. If you have a hairy ass or chest they need to be hairless too.

by Anonymousreply 36July 16, 2018 12:12 AM

OP, you an smother them with Vaseline. Leave it on for a few hours. You can also drown them by sitting in a bath, but you have to stay in the bath for about 8 hours.

by Anonymousreply 37July 16, 2018 12:13 AM

Do you rim, OP?

The crabs might be crawling on your tongue.

by Anonymousreply 39July 16, 2018 12:14 AM

Wigs are made for situations like these.

by Anonymousreply 40July 16, 2018 12:16 AM

"Be careful-they spread" = they crawl all over you until they attach to a hair shaft to lay eggs. That's partly why you're itchy.

by Anonymousreply 41July 16, 2018 12:19 AM

Don’t they teach sex ed in school these days?

by Anonymousreply 42July 16, 2018 12:21 AM

by Anonymousreply 52July 16, 2018 12:52 AM

by Anonymousreply 53July 16, 2018 12:53 AM

by Anonymousreply 77July 16, 2018 1:51 AM

Still waiting to hear what city OP lives in...

by Anonymousreply 78July 16, 2018 2:22 AM

I got them from a toilet seat once in a department store restroom in Pittsburgh. Had to use Rid, shaved my pubes and armpit hair (they attach at the base of the hair so you have to shave--hair on you head is a different shape so they can't attach there), washed everything in hot water, including sheets, other bedding, etc. I didn't know what was causing the itching and tiny blood spots in my underwear until I finally put 2+2 together. I was surprised as hell that I had them.

by Anonymousreply 79July 16, 2018 2:29 AM

I know what you're going through, OP. I got crabs, but not through sex. I was at a party and ended up crashing in an empty bed. A week later, I was sitting in a public toilet stall and looked down and saw a freckle move. I pinched it, brought it up, and looked at it. It looked exactly like a micro crab.

Back then, RID was reliable and quick. Now, it's not so fast or reliable, since some pubic lice is resistant to permethrin. If you don't succeed with RID, go get a scrip for Lindane.

by Anonymousreply 80July 16, 2018 2:34 AM

Lather your genitalia and body hair in coconut oil. The crabs with suffocate and die.

That is actually the one cool thing about them.

by Anonymousreply 91July 16, 2018 4:00 AM

Sorry, r79, but it's a myth that crabs can't attach to the hair on your head--or at least nobody has advised the pubic lice that they can't migrate to the scalp. They can and do. And this vaseline approach isn't going to work, either. Get the prescription shampoo, shave wherever you can and use the shampoo EVERYWHERE else. You'll have to remove all the eggs if you can; they take 10 days to hatch, so to be on the safe side you have to repeat the shampooing process to kill any hatched eggs that you missed. Pillows, hats, other things that can't be washed in hot water have to be bagged up for 48 hours. Get RID spray for your mattress and sofa cushions.

And tell everyone you've been near so they can treat themselves too. Little kids get head lice in nursery schools and day care (and it doesn't mean they're not clean) and they pass them back and forth, then the parents and teachers get them and the whole nursery school gets shut down while everyone gets treated simultenaously.

by Anonymousreply 109July 16, 2018 6:35 AM

'Crabs' was my first STD, but I contracted it sans sexe. My younger female cousin and her boyfriend were visiting the city in which I lived and asked me to put them up for a night, which I did. They came during wintertime and I gave them some of the blankets I used to pile on top of myself to stay warm. When they left, I took back the blankets and started using them again. Apparently, that's how the 'crabs' found me. At this time, I'd never had any kind of sexual contact with anyone, so I was amazed at what had happened. I decided that 'the better part of valour' was not to embarrass my cousin, so I never told her. I'm sure she found out at some point that she had the 'crabs' herself, but not from me.

by Anonymousreply 110July 16, 2018 7:00 AM

Head over to your local CVS or Walmart and get Blue Star ointment. I got crabs once from my bathroom gloryhole days in the 70's. Probably from sitting on the toilets, as gloryhole sucking rarely got your pubes tangled with someone else's pubes. Blue Star instantly took care of crabs. It does burn just a little, but consider that God's punishment for being a gay whore, like I was. Forgive me father, for I have sinned...

OP = Wrigleyville Cumdump

by Anonymousreply 118July 16, 2018 6:42 PM

OP, you can’t just shave it off. Nits cling to the base of the hair. You absolutely need to get an OTC lice treatment. After that, shave it all off (unless you like the idea of picking each dead nit out of your hair).

You better thoroughly check all of your hair, otherwise prepare for body lice. As others said, wash absolutely all clothing and bedding thoroughly.

Inform all partners from the past 30 days that you may have given them the gift of crabs. Jeep checking your ground zero. Sometimes the cleaning needs to be done for 10 days.

Cheers.

by Anonymousreply 119July 16, 2018 6:58 PM

Make sure to comically itch in the drug store line while holding your RID box. Let the whole world know your shame.

by Anonymousreply 120July 16, 2018 7:01 PM

R119, the problem is that the OTC shampoos don't kill the nits, so unless the OP picks them out they're likely to hatch and start the process all over again. Hatch time's about 10 days. Based on his posts, I'm betting the OP loses focus long before his problem is solved.

by Anonymousreply 121July 16, 2018 7:07 PM

OP, just for laughs google head lice and go to the images. Pay special attention to the photos of children with live lice in their eyelashes. Lice are lice, and crabs are perfectly happy to lay eggs in your head, in your chest hair, eyebrows, whatever, if you don't take care of this.

by Anonymousreply 122July 16, 2018 7:10 PM

R121 That’s why I said shave off all evidence afterward or at the least pick nits out. I’ve never had crabs, but I know just shaving it off risks those buggers clinging to the base of the hair.

Most people who report a failure with OTCs didn’t do aftercare which sometimes includes further applications.

There is always prescription strength too. Then we’d have to worn this mimbo about Lindane toxicity. (Kidding… sort of.)

by Anonymousreply 123July 16, 2018 7:17 PM

Take some zoomed in video of them. I wanna see!

by Anonymousreply 124July 16, 2018 7:18 PM

by Anonymousreply 125July 16, 2018 7:38 PM

R125 Yeah, there is no need for slut shaming (although the comical quip is always good for a laugh).

However, with great whoring comes great responsibility. The OP doesn’t seem to know even the basics about how to address having this. I hope he takes seriously the posts about how to nip this in the bud and not to get back to whoring until it’s completely gone.

by Anonymousreply 126July 16, 2018 7:44 PM

2. how is one "careful" in order to avoid crabs, other than staying clothed during sex??

by Anonymousreply 129July 16, 2018 8:48 PM

Even staying clothed wouldn't necessarily do the trick.

The OP said he'd had crabs once before, so why is he in such a dither now? He ought to be an old hand at dealing with them.

by Anonymousreply 130July 16, 2018 9:00 PM

Fipronil easily kills lice & crabs, and it's nontoxic to mammals. In most countries, it's the new first-line treatment for lice & crabs.

NONE of the officially fda-blessed treatments for lice & crabs work anymore. Malathion is preferred over fipronil in Europe, but that's only because fipronil is harmful to aquatic wildlife. If you have crabs, you don't *care* about environmental impact... you just want them to stay dead.

by Anonymousreply 143July 16, 2018 10:38 PM

Lice=crabs. Why is this such a difficult concept? Does Fipronil kill the eggs? It has to specify on the label. If it doesn't, you're still going to have to pick every last nit out of your pubes, chest hair, whatever.

Btw, if you get into a bathtub to get the shampoo off, you will see lots of little louse corpses in the water. Just saying.

I caught them in my late teens - more than likely from an office chair I was sharing with another part time employee. I was still a virgin at the time. Just shaving my groin and ass completely clean and using RID on it got them to go away.

by Anonymousreply 146July 16, 2018 11:07 PM

Good job, R146. Unfortunately, the OP doesn't want to sacrifice his bush, so it's going to serve as a louse hatchery until further notice.

by Anonymousreply 147July 16, 2018 11:12 PM

OP, if you just got the crabs, you may be able to get rid of them before any eggs are laid. But hurry!

[quote] The female louse will mate soon after taking a blood meal. After gestating only 1 to 2 days, the female will lay her eggs - or nits - at the base of a hair, close to the skin. In a little over a week the eggs will hatch, allowing the emergence of an immature louse known as a nymph. After another 10 days, the nymphs will have matured into adult lice, capable and mating and producing more eggs

Thanks, OP. I hope you're up half the night scratching your balls.

by Anonymousreply 153July 17, 2018 1:56 AM

What you need to do is find a new host for the crabs. The easiest way to do that is to hook up with a sixth guy. Then the crabs will leave you and go to the new guy's crotch.

by Anonymousreply 154July 17, 2018 1:56 AM

Thanks for the tips. OP here, typing from phone, on my way to CVS to buy RID and do all of the washing suggestions.

To whoever asked, I’ve never had crabs before. It was something else. Feel like the world’s biggest slut, but oh well, at least this place is anonymous....

by Anonymousreply 155July 17, 2018 2:25 AM

Yeah, except for that pesky IP address thingy, r155.

by Anonymousreply 156July 17, 2018 2:34 AM

If all else fails and you will not just get a prescription.

Ivermectin is an oral medication that is used in other countries to treat crabs and many other diseases. It is not used much in the US but is safe.

It requires two doses. The initial dose followed by another dose one week later that kills any eggs that have hatched.

Here is the source. Go to a Veterinarian supply or Farm Supply store and buy a tube of Horse wormier. It is an apple flavored gel. You will have to do the math to calculate your dose but it is 200-250mcg/kg. For a 200 pound person that is about 19mg per dose. It is inexpensive.

You will have to still wash everything and disinfect cloths and bedding.

You can just google Ivermectin for crabs.

by Anonymousreply 157July 17, 2018 2:46 AM

Ivermectin also is great to treat Scabies. Just two oral doses will do it. It is commonly used in nursing homes. Yes Scabies is not uncommon in Nursing Homes. You do not have to coat your body from neck to feet and leave it on 8 hours like other prescription treatments.

by Anonymousreply 158July 17, 2018 2:52 AM

Ivermectin is an interesting new(er) treatment. I was surprised to see it mentioned. Not all docs will prescribe that but I suppose you can get veterinary meds. There have been a few studies on kids' lice going away with ivermectin - no need to do the endless shampooing and combing & re-checking. It's 2 courses 7-10 days apart I think, but you still have to wash all your bedding and towels, etc.

I am very hairy, so I caught them several times - and 2 times I wasn't sexually active (the first time I was 16!). Despite using RID multiple times, there's ALWAYS one last egg that can hatch and start the whole nightmare over again. So, in most of these situations, I finally had to shave. However, my hair, when growing back, left me with 6 months of ingrowns. It was pretty disgusting. So, the last time I got them, I used a very close guard on my clippers and then trimmed everything down as close to the skin as possible without shaving. Then, I inspected every inch of my body multiple times a day, every day, for any signs of eggs or lice. I had to shine extremely bright light (I literally tilted a floor lamp onto my pubes and ass hair with a mirror) - and took tweezers out & pulled any hair that had an egg. Or I just pulled the egg off.

It was a fucking nightmare. I haven't even gotten into the laundry either... so much stuff not supposed to be washed in hot was not doing so well after the fiasco. In the future, I'm just doing ivermectin if I ever get it again.

OP, do you even remember your tricks’ names, or do you just refer to them as Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday?

by Anonymousreply 162July 17, 2018 3:09 AM

OP, do not hesitate to go for prescription strength if RID fails, but stick with reapplications for a week before trotting to the doc. A good scrubbing, washing all bedding and clothing, and plucking out dead nits and/or shaving should do th trick. (Don’t forget, these critters may hump to other body hair!) I felt compelled to state the ritual once more.

HAPPY TRAILS.

Meant to say *JUMP to other body hair.

But ya know, humo works even better.

Hip hip, happy trails!

I have nightmares over making a spelling error on the very word I was attempting to fix on a previous spelling error. Is there anything worse?

Maybe crabs.

by Anonymousreply 165July 17, 2018 4:48 AM

So you can take ivermectin ORALLY and it will kill lice, crabs, etc.? I'd think you'd have to use it topically, no?

by Anonymousreply 166July 17, 2018 5:47 AM

Dear Lord in Heaven!

by Anonymousreply 167July 17, 2018 6:05 AM

I'd go with a cocktail approach... fipronil to kill them instantly, followed by two doses of oral ivermectin a week apart to keep killing the hatchlings until they're all gone.

You're getting really terrific advice from DL, OP. Exactly what you deserve. Always a good idea to go with veterinary meds and take a crack at figuring out the proper dosage.

Whatever you do, don't go to an ER or outpatient facility or a dermatologist and get reliable medical advice and a prescription.

by Anonymousreply 171July 17, 2018 12:42 PM

[quote] Whatever you do, don't go to an ER or outpatient facility or a dermatologist and get reliable medical advice and a prescription.

Crabs are not a medical emergency. Why would you go to the ER for that? His co-pay could be $1000 and he would learn absolutely nothing from the ER physicians other than to use RID and pull the eggs off. Likewise, there is no need to see a dermatologist or any doctor. There are many over the counter treatments, and shaving your body hair and picking the nits off is all any doctor can tell you anyway. If you have a severe, resistant, case (rare) then a doctor can prescribe lindane (rarely prescribed - banned in CA) - but it's very toxic. Ivermectin is given to humans (Stromectol) and the dosages are easily calculated by anyone with a calculator who does not need an MD. Any doc can give it but most are not trained to do so for crabs / head lice. A pediatrician might be the only one familiar with it because it is more often given for head lice in kids.

Resistence is NOT ‘rare’. It’s now the standard. Nothing over the counter works anymore. NOTHING. The only way is a complete shave and digging out the remainder.

by Anonymousreply 173July 17, 2018 1:58 PM

[quote]A lice-killing lotion containing 1% permethrin or a mousse containing pyrethrins and piperonyl butoxide can be used to treat pubic (“crab”) lice. These products are available over-the-counter without a prescription at a local drug store or pharmacy. These medications are safe and effective when used exactly according to the instructions in the package or on the label.

[quote]Lindane shampoo is a prescription medication that can kill lice and lice eggs. However, lindane is not recommended as a first-line therapy. Lindane can be toxic to the brain and other parts of the nervous system; its use should be restricted to patients who have failed treatment with or cannot tolerate other medications that pose less risk. Lindane should not be used to treat premature infants, persons with a seizure disorder, women who are pregnant or breast-feeding, persons who have very irritated skin or sores where the lindane will be applied, infants, children, the elderly, and persons who weigh less than 110 pounds.

If you ask a doctor for Lindane without trying Rid first, I doubt you'll get it anyway. You cannot get it in CA at all. shaving isn't even 100% effective because they will cling to the 1 hair you missed or lay eggs slightly below where you

by Anonymousreply 179July 18, 2018 2:58 AM

Technically, pubic lice ARE slightly different from head lice... though they're more "body lice" than "pubic lice". Head lice apparently don't like short hair, and body lice prefer hair under clothing (or something like that).

R175, I can't find the source now, but somewhere at PubMed is a paper published by a professor from the University of Miami med school circa 1997 where they documented lice that were still alive & moving 24 hours after being put on permethrin-soaked gauze in a jar.

Permethrin is now basically useless against American lice.

by Anonymousreply 191July 21, 2018 7:58 AM

Crabs are a fact of life for a time. You don't have to inform anyone you've been with. What ancient morons here. If some dude has crabs he'll figure it out soon enough. My uncle told me that back in the eighties gay men kept the crab shampoo in their medicine chest and just used it every time they fucked. Because they took 5 guys a night! So the pollyannas here are just old whores who survived AIDS. That explains a lot about the ancient white men of Datalounge when you think about it. Spent half a life on their stomachs in tube socks taking strangers loads and now spend all day arranging their spice cupboard and telling men how to live.
