Wrong. Bassett has twins. Although she did not give birth to them (they were carried by a surrogate after she struggled for years to conceive and carry to term), she has definitely raised them with spouse Courtney Vance.

I truly loved Bassett in Strange Days. I wouldn't say she's the best actor out there since she tends to go overact and doesn't seem natural. But she's got a great screen presence and looks gorgeous.

Not really poster 44. The black women I know who have aged prematurely are dark skinned black women. Some had gray hair in their early thirties and they look worst for wear now in their fifties. Black women can age prematurely.

I am black but never much a fan of Angela, until BP and now this. She was all angles and attitude in Stella Got Her Groove Back, Waiting to Exhale and the Tina Turner movie. Sexy and deep, but not beautiful or real. So I see her now as our queen and the boss. I think she is the best looking 60 year old woman in the world. So fucking gorgeous and full of power and joy. She married a gay man - fellow actor, same race, they go to church, adopted their kids. This is not a bad life plan for privileged black folk. 2018 is the year of Angela Bassett. She had a full face lift and that's one reason why she looks so beautiful - because it's still her.
