So why is this such a big deal to people? Are you shocked that these women had... SEX? Possibly when they weren't MARRIED? A ridiculous double standard. So far, the only interesting or entertaining post here is [R2].

It isn't 1 in 3 anymore it is 1 in 4, and will likely, and hopefully, continue to fall. Unlike in the past, there are many different forms of contraceptives, which enable women to have and enjoy as much sex as they want, without pregnancy. There is also, expected to be a male birth control pill on the market within a decade.

Uh, no. She was married to David Rose at the time. She probably wasn't even 20 years old. She was told it would be bad for her career to have a baby at that time. It was good advice; she was barely an adult herself. She liked to make it seem like her evil mother and evil MGM forced her to have the abortion. But she just went along with it. I don't think she regretted it. And no doubt she had more abortions to come. Having an abortion, for an actress, was simply par for the course.
