“IF (big) he seeks re-election, I will run, but only if I think that there is no other candidate in the race that has a REAL chance at beating him,” Avenatti replied. “We can’t relive 2016. I love this country, our values and our people too much to sit by while they are destroyed.”
Michael Avenatti: ‘I Will Run’ If No One With ‘A Real Chance’ Challenges Trump In 2020
by Anonymous | reply 176 | August 7, 2018 1:00 AM |
I just want a winner. We cannot live with Trump for another four years. He's a fucking disgrace.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 4, 2018 9:09 PM |
He would bring the HEAT! I would vote for him in a heartbeat.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 4, 2018 9:10 PM |
No thanks.
Deval Patrick and Tulsi Gabbard will be the ticket.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 4, 2018 9:24 PM |
Not a chance, R3
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 4, 2018 9:31 PM |
Now the righties have their "out" with the Daniels case - He only brought the charges for political gain. He should just prosecute the case and shut up about everything else.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 4, 2018 9:33 PM |
Will someone give this attention whore a talk show and be done with it? If he keeps this up he's going to ruin the Daniels' case.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 4, 2018 9:35 PM |
Excuse me, R4? And why is that?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | July 4, 2018 9:35 PM |
Another white man? Oh great.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 4, 2018 9:36 PM |
I am reading this wrong or is he saying Hillary did not stand a real chance of beating Trump?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 4, 2018 9:39 PM |
R9 no, I didn’t read it that way.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | July 4, 2018 9:41 PM |
Because, R7, Patrick is an east coast liberal (read: not electable) and Gabbard is from a state that cannot swing the election. Plus: She is a fervent Bernie Sanders supporter
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 4, 2018 9:53 PM |
I liked him at first. Now he's gotten too big for his britches. The "fame" has gone to his head, and he's now an annoying attention seeker.
He is a high-profile, powerful lawyer, so no doubt he has gotten his hands dirty a little. I wouldn't openly admit to considering running for public office. Opposing dems, repubs, and shit-stirring trolls will find the dirt.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 4, 2018 9:54 PM |
I'd still sniff his hole
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 4, 2018 9:57 PM |
[quote]Tulsi Gabbard
She will NEVER be on the Democratic ticket. She was highly critical of the debate schedule in the 2016 Democratic primaries and then she does this:
[quote]U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is refusing to debate a Democratic primary challenger again this election season, spurring another round of criticism that she’s stifling the democratic election process and not giving voters a chance to hear from her opponents. The popular congresswoman has yet to participate in a debate against a primary challenger since being elected to Congress six years ago.

Steven Colbert will run.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 4, 2018 10:17 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 4, 2018 10:24 PM |
R30 fuck you Putin, your puppet is not winning again. We know the game you pulled, we're pissed off and taking back our country! Motherfucker!
by Anonymous | reply 31 | July 4, 2018 10:26 PM |
Shit like this just further proves that Avenatti is now officially a fame whore who is looking to say or do to anything to get his name out there. When he appeared a few weeks ago on Colbert's show along with Anthony 'the mooch' Scaramuchi and it was revealed that they were network shopping in order to land some kind of TV deal as a Thelma & Louise team, it changed any positive opinion that I may have once had of him.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 4, 2018 10:41 PM |
R32. Avenatti isn't pitching a talk show. Where did ya hear that-Fox news. And he's the only Democrat so far who bluntly calls out The orange shit stain in the WH. And he's not afraid of Orange pig mans base or the orange pig man. So who runs for President that isn't an attention whore? Name one non -ego driven man or woman who runs for elected office that is shy and retiring and humble? Betcha can't do it, Blanche. Hell, even Mother Teresa was an attention seeking gal. He has the brains and the charisma and the balls so yeah, I'd vote for him. Bet Stormy would too. However, I recall Avenatti predicting a few months ago that DJT wouldn't finish his first term. I hope he was right.

by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 5, 2018 12:25 AM |
Why shouldn't he run? He has balls, he is sort of famous, and that seems to be important to voters, he is handsome, he is articulate, he's smart, and he has been in Trump's face in a powerful way, and shows he has the balls to do it. I don't see any other Democrat with the exception of Pocahontas who has the right tone when combating Trump.

Fattypants is going to be primaried by kasich. If you're paying attention, you see it coming.
If kasich doesn't outright primary the orange turd, he will run third party to peel off the GOP scum who claim to be non-racist and disgusted with the orange lardass. You know, the ones who refuse to call the traitor out.
Either way, dump is out come 2020. Either in prison, dead or primaried out.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | July 5, 2018 7:18 AM |
It's all about money not about how "good" the candidate is. Trump got his right wing backers who believe in his unshakable "appeal" to the deplorables and will not jump ship at every controversy or scandal. That's how he got nominated and survived till the election with people actively suppressing any damaging news about his messy past. He also got elected with cheating approved and/or engineered by his backers. The thing is Avenatti can do much more good by cracking open the truth behind this manipulated election. Anything else is just letting the dirty game remain dirty and vulnerable to rogue players and candidates with money.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | July 5, 2018 7:36 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 52 | July 5, 2018 8:03 AM |
R8 - what would you prefer? Which candidate/s would you like to see?
We have to be reasonable about this. In order to get rid of Trump, there has to be a mainstream candidate whose values, likeability and message appeal to a large amount of people. Obviously Avenatti isn't being serious and he would fail.
I'm just interested to hear who would be a credible candidate from a poster who comments "great - another white man..."

[quote]Either way, dump is out come 2020. Either in prison, dead or primaried out.
I agree, I can't see him running in 2020. Unless he successfully has transformed the US into some dictatorial shithole where elections are decided before people even vote (like in Russia or Turkey) he won't have a chance. Hell he never had a chance in 2016 without Vlad, Comey and voter intimidation.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | July 5, 2018 8:52 AM |
I really hope you're right R55. But that's what you all said and then voted Bush in again!
But seriously - Bush looks like a smart, classy guy in comparison to Trump. I fear Trump will be returned in 2020. He's not going to want to be a 1 term president. He has to win at whatever he does. Vile.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | July 5, 2018 8:56 AM |
Unmarried Michael is just talking, trying to wake and shake up the Democratic power structure and players, to get them and us to realize that we need a street-fighter to go against Trump. AKA, an Old School Democrat.
Enough with the brilliant but mild-mannered McGovern types, the Adam Schiffs of the world. Even the Rev. MLK, Jr., was known to have raised his voice now and then. Somehow male Liberals have bought into the "anger is unhealthy; don't show any" sensibility.
And no women on the national ticket. Not the election for a Do-Over.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | July 5, 2018 9:08 AM |
Does this mean Avenatti expects Trump to stay in office to run in 2020? After all he knows? Not that don't like him, but this is dispiriting.

R35, Or he could marry a woman who posed starkers.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | July 5, 2018 9:13 AM |
R32, What country do you live in? If it's the USA, then surely you must realize what our society has become.
Trump was the host of a reality game show, also staring Ivanka. His wife posed for nude pictures. He has dallied with porn actresses and Playboy models, and probably with peeing hookers.
But AVENATTI is somehow not quite cricket in seeking to parlay his current level of fame into something bigger?
Why, Michael is downright PATRIOTIC in the attempt!
by Anonymous | reply 60 | July 5, 2018 9:23 AM |
Haha, meant "starring." But "staring" works, too! 😉
by Anonymous | reply 61 | July 5, 2018 9:25 AM |

He's not a credible candidate, that's the point. I'm sick of white men just strolling in and taking everything from everyone else. I mean, who the fuck is this guy and what are his qualifications. Meanwhile, a woman has to prove herself and still get dismissed. Just because DL posters are dumb enough to be blinded by some "hot" white guy, doesn't mean I am.

If the Democratic primaries and special elections since Trump's Victory have taught us anything it's that women are emboldened and women are our most reliable voters. African American women in particular. Despite being one of the most hated and untrusted politicians in recent history Hillary Clinton managed to get more votes than Trump. Just not in the state she needed. I think a smart passionate woman could easily win a general election. Preferably one that hasn't had 30 years of right-wing propaganda thrown at her. Harris, Gillibrand, or Duckworth would all have nationwide appeal.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | July 5, 2018 11:33 AM |
We may need a street fighter, but we also need someone smart enough to not distract from critical primaries, and to not announce so early that he gives the GOP 2 1/2 years to dug up dirt and spread lies.

THIS is why we have illogical and irrational policy that is shortsighted and limited.

by Anonymous | reply 87 | July 5, 2018 2:47 PM |
Everyone seems to regard Trump as some sort of unstoppable machine that will keep going forever. In reality he's an old man with probably a lot of health problems that aren't getting better, who's dealing with an enormous amount of stress which is new for him. He is literally a walking heart attack/stroke waiting to happen. And I think Avenatti knows this. I think he's button pushing, knowing the effect it'll have on Trump. Keeping the pressure on Trump might be the best way to bring him down.

by Anonymous | reply 94 | July 5, 2018 4:04 PM |
R94 You're full of shit. I volunteer on 2 or 3 campaigns a year and most of the biggest GOTV (get out the vote) drives in the final weeks are done with hundreds of union workers. They send more people to those than any other group, and the candidates we are working for always praise them on stage before we start.
Dems oppose right to work laws which try to gut their membership dues, and usually try to codify safety and labor standards they ask for into law.
Where the hell do you think all the regulations Trump is gleefully rolling back come from? I'll give you a hint, it's not republicans

Apart from working to raise the minimum wage, which has beneficial effects for all of those in the lower 25th percentile? Apart from working to make it easier to form a union? Apart from opposing court decisions which allow free rides for those who get union benefits but don't pay union dues? Apart from proposing fair taxes, which will help reduce the gap between the working class and CEOs? Apart from working for retraining for those union workers whose jobs have disappeared due to automation or due to changing circumstances?

by Anonymous | reply 111 | July 6, 2018 4:23 AM |
Avenatti is hot and I love that he's been trolling Trump for months - but he has a ton of skeletons in his own closet, and hasn't been honest in a lot of his dealings either. All of that would come out in a political campaign. He's better than Trump, but so is pond scum. We need someone who understands policy and diplomacy. It will take years to undo the damage that Trump has already done in a year and a half. Avenatti is probably not the right person to do that cleanup effort. It's a plus that he's literate and engaging, and that he has charisma. But we need much more.

I hope he does run, regardless of if he wins or not. I would be worth it just to see him and trump side by side on a stage debating - he's clearly more educated and articulate and far more handsome than trump. It will drive trump ugly delusional ass nuts to be on camera with him at the same time.
by Anonymous | reply 119 | July 6, 2018 12:26 PM |
Has he offered his services yet to the Thai boys stuck in the cave?
by Anonymous | reply 120 | July 6, 2018 12:27 PM |
R117 amen! And it's working. I'm sure his bull numbers would be bad now but he's got a good amount of the #resistance movement lapping up everything he says. And people who are saying they wouldn't want him to be president but it sure would be fun to watch him debate Trump on stage. That's literally how Trump became the nominee
by Anonymous | reply 121 | July 6, 2018 12:38 PM |
R110, yes, he's a shortie.
No fucking way i'm gonna vote for him. he's another egomaniac who loves to hear himself talk and he still owes millions. he's shady. ask his business partners.
by Anonymous | reply 122 | July 6, 2018 12:41 PM |
What is his track record as an attorney? I know his last Law Firm was bankrupt. He's been ordered to pay out Millions to his former business partners. He was sued by Dylan McDermott for a restaurant business they had together. And the federal judge in the Michael Cohen case handed him his ass in the courtroom last month. Is he even good at his job?
by Anonymous | reply 123 | July 6, 2018 12:44 PM |
R121, exactly.
Listen, I love that he’s attacking Trump. It’s fun. But come on.
by Anonymous | reply 124 | July 6, 2018 12:50 PM |
Who doesn't have skeletons in the closet? I do!
by Anonymous | reply 125 | July 6, 2018 12:58 PM |
A Dem is going to win in 2020 and two months later, they'll be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump's head will explode and we'll finally be rid of him.

[quote]A Dem is going to win in 2020 and two months later, they'll be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize
Just like Obama who got a Peace Prize for doing nothing right before he gave us eight years of war.
by Anonymous | reply 127 | July 8, 2018 4:38 PM |
Tell us what you did in the war grandpa.
by Anonymous | reply 128 | July 8, 2018 5:03 PM |
R112, what kind of skeletons?
I like Avenatti. I want to see how well he does with reuniting these immigrant clients with their children. My concern is his lack of political experience. He is a media personality like Trump is and this seems to bring out the "bread and circuses" of the electorate and the media. People are increasingly ignorant and more easily diverted from what is important. I feel like Avenatti has been getting bolder and flashier in his assertions. The power of the Presidency has to be intoxicating to those not used to a significant level of power. I want to know that Avenatti won't get drunk on the power like Trump did, although, admittedly, he seems to have less of the core of corruption like Trump has.
by Anonymous | reply 129 | July 8, 2018 6:51 PM |
It'll take an Italian like Avenatti to beat Trump. Italians will always outsmart, outwork and out charm their opponent.
by Anonymous | reply 130 | July 8, 2018 6:56 PM |
[quote]Italians will always outsmart, outwork and out charm their opponent.
Worked out well for Mussolini, huh?
by Anonymous | reply 131 | July 8, 2018 6:58 PM |
Avenatti LOVES trolling Donald Trump.
Running a campaign, at least through the primaries would give him a once in a lifetime opportunity to antagonize Trump round the clock for months.
DJT is intimidated by Avenatti because Avenatti is a REAL “alpha”.
Trump is a fraud in EVERY sense of the word, while MA effortlessly plays Trump’s game much better than Trump.
He also has the massive advantage of having truth on his side. Whereas EVERY SINGLE WORD out of Trump’s mouth is a fucking lie!
And as my mother (and Judge Judy!) used to say, “you’d better have an excellent memory if you want to be a liar!”

You do realize that Trump is only going to debate the Democratic nominee? And it won't be Avenatti?
by Anonymous | reply 133 | July 8, 2018 9:36 PM |
Avenatti sounding great at that DC rally. He's probably running for president
by Anonymous | reply 134 | July 18, 2018 3:05 AM |
Strange times. He's sexy & smart, believable for a lawyer, completely inappropriate and our best hope. He's got the balls and rudiments to get from that place to there in less than 3 years.............oh man he could take the country by the nuts. If he keeps his ambition like it is, and doesn't get too much help, he might just be the new fuck in a great time of fuck ups. Biden, Booker, Warren, Saunders, Harris and Gillibrand will fuck it up for sure. They have hundreds of years of experience.
Avenatti is the dude who could get elected and get help with what's needed.
by Anonymous | reply 135 | July 18, 2018 3:30 AM |
Lay down the crack pipe, r135, Avenatti won't make it to the primaries. Stormy Daniels will try to extort money from him and a whole bunch of shit will come out about him. He looks like the type that is a wife abuser. Probably has a #MeToo trail 20 miles long.
by Anonymous | reply 136 | July 18, 2018 3:35 AM |
Sexy slut too
by Anonymous | reply 137 | July 18, 2018 3:42 AM |
Ah, of course he won't make it to the 2020 primaries, R136. BUTT, how can you tell who is a wife abuser? Does your psychotropic give you a buzz?
Stormy Daniels is the luckiest woman on earth. She need never betray her lawyer.
I have a #MeToo trail at least 5 miles long and I've been voted a few things.
by Anonymous | reply 138 | July 18, 2018 3:44 AM |
You guys are so besotted by Avenatti's BDF that you think he is actually a viable presidential candidate. Nothing doing. Stormy Daniels is almost forgotten now, and her latest arrest in a roadhouse reminds everyone that she's a stripper and a whore. He's eaten his fame slice by now
by Anonymous | reply 139 | July 18, 2018 3:51 AM |
Her false arrest in deplorableland reminds everyone that powerful forces have a history of harassing a woman because they are mortified by her ability to share the truth.
by Anonymous | reply 140 | July 18, 2018 3:58 AM |
Stormy doesn't matter very much because Avenatti is not too much a Democrat and American standards and values are the lowest of all time. He's crude, sexy smart, timely and a MASCULINE WHITE MAN. No one else can win. /still...Avenatti has a way with words and the rhythm of information and charm. Don't discount it.
by Anonymous | reply 141 | July 18, 2018 4:20 AM |
Avenatti can't win because he has no experience in holding political office, he seeks the limelight, and he keeps company with strippers.
Oh, wait.
by Anonymous | reply 142 | July 18, 2018 9:33 AM |
It will take an Alpha Italian daddy to clean this mess.
by Anonymous | reply 143 | July 18, 2018 9:53 AM |
r139 is a deplorable troll.
Shun him gals!
by Anonymous | reply 144 | July 18, 2018 12:54 PM |
Avenatti would best serve his agenda and the American people by appearing nightly on his own TV program where he could expose the corruption in politics. I'm frankly shocked that it hasn't happened yet.
by Anonymous | reply 145 | July 18, 2018 1:14 PM |
R145, Ari and Lawrence and Michael, oh MY!
by Anonymous | reply 146 | July 18, 2018 1:24 PM |
His ballsy and unapologetic persona would be such a breath of fresh air for Democrats. I'm intrigued by a 2020 run but want to hear more about his stance on different issues and how he communicates them.
by Anonymous | reply 147 | August 5, 2018 5:17 PM |
Avenatti doesn’t have either the political cred or recognition to win. But I’d love to see him involved. He is a bulldog like Trump, but much smarter.
by Anonymous | reply 148 | August 5, 2018 5:23 PM |
[quote]by appearing nightly on his own TV program where he could expose
You almost spun magic, there.
by Anonymous | reply 149 | August 5, 2018 5:24 PM |
[quote]Avenatti doesn’t have either the political cred or recognition to win
Political cred doesn't matter. Trump won, after all, and people were jizzing their pants for a few months at the thought of Oprah running. If he can communicate his policy ideas as well as he does his anti-Trump ideas he has a shot at this. I'm keeping my mind open to the idea and want to hear more from him if he decides to run.
by Anonymous | reply 150 | August 5, 2018 5:28 PM |
He could take on Trump but we don't know his positions on anything. The political class that is waiting will not like him.
by Anonymous | reply 151 | August 5, 2018 5:29 PM |
R151, yeah, that's why I'd want to hear more from him.
by Anonymous | reply 152 | August 5, 2018 5:32 PM |
...if he decides to run.
by Anonymous | reply 153 | August 5, 2018 5:35 PM |
I guess he has some connections to the Democratic Party:
While in college and later in law school, Michael worked at a political opposition research and media firm run by Rahm Emanuel (who later became White House Chief of Staff and is presently the Mayor of Chicago). During his time there, Michael worked on over 150 campaigns in 42 states, including multiple gubernatorial and congressional campaigns (i.e. Joe Biden’s U.S. Senate Campaign).
by Anonymous | reply 154 | August 5, 2018 5:37 PM |
[quote]Political cred doesn't matter. Trump won, after all,
I said political cred OR RECOGNITION.
Trump won because of his reality show — he was hugely recognizable and the show postured him as a genius at getting things done.
by Anonymous | reply 155 | August 5, 2018 5:37 PM |
An Associated Press review of federal records shows that Avenatti has not made individual political donations since 2007. From 2003 to 2007, he gave $5,750 to an assortment of California and national Democratic Party candidates, including the presidential campaigns of John Kerry, John Edwards and Dick Gephardt.
Avenatti denies that the Daniels case has anything to do with politics and says he even supports some things Trump has done as president, including deregulation and tax cuts
by Anonymous | reply 156 | August 5, 2018 5:39 PM |
[quote]I said political cred OR RECOGNITION.
I left that out because it sounds like you're basing that on his recognition at this moment. We all know that when someone decides to run for President their recognition can change significantly. Just imagine all the press he'd get if he decided to run. He'd get instant coverage thereby raising his recognition by several factors. Depending on how he campaigned and spoke about issues that could continue for several months.
I'm open to the idea and not shutting it down.

Really bad idea. Let's get after it!
by Anonymous | reply 158 | August 5, 2018 11:40 PM |
The problem with him is that he is short. The tall person always wins.
by Anonymous | reply 159 | August 5, 2018 11:41 PM |
the last candidate that got elected that actually governed (in my opinion) was Lyndon Johnson, so the commentor who said he wanted a candidate that could govern, that argument doesnt really hold up. I dont care if Avennati has little political experience (worked for Rahm Emanual 20 years ago)...............if Trump is the candidate in 2020 then I would vote for Avennatti if he ran. The reason is........... Avennatti is very much in the same mold as Trump in that he is a master at using the press and he is extremely bombastic............Avennatti has one additional thing Trump doesnt have tho, smarts. The down side to Avennatti is yes he is getting arrogant and yes is very egotistical...but also he probably has some skeletons in his closet, which is the one thing that doesnt seem to matter for Trump, even including the putin skeleton.............and no E Warren doesnt stand a chance against Trump. SHe is a terrible public speaker, cant motivate anybody to the polls and Trumps name calling would do her in........she isnt tough enuf, and its not because she is a woman. Also BIden wouldnt have a chance against Trump. Trump would have Biden framed in no time as a bumbling idiot grandpa.........
by Anonymous | reply 160 | August 6, 2018 12:20 AM |
Google says Mike Avenatti is 6'0". Where's the evidence against this? Pix?

Mike is extremely hot, no argument there, he's gorgeous and an alpha and intelligent. But he shouldn't be president. He's obsessed with self aggrandizement more than anything else. That's not a crime but doesn't make for a good public servant. It's one of the worst things about Trump
by Anonymous | reply 165 | August 6, 2018 1:55 PM |
R165 say it again for those in the back! We don't need a liberal version of Trump next. We need a dedicated meticulous policy wonk.
by Anonymous | reply 166 | August 6, 2018 2:10 PM |
Not sure we need Avenatti, but we do need an alpha male with some balls, who can actually face up to Twitler’s attacks.
by Anonymous | reply 167 | August 6, 2018 2:32 PM |
At this point, only Avenatti can do that, R167.
by Anonymous | reply 168 | August 6, 2018 2:37 PM |
No, Trump wants a race to bottom and childish twitter wars. Any Dem is better to ignore that and showcase how they will not bring that kind of drama.
Even Trumps SUPPORTERS consistently say he should stop using twitter in polls, no one likes it
by Anonymous | reply 169 | August 6, 2018 2:40 PM |
He hangs around that whore Stormy Daniels and he thinks to himself what a loser Trump is for fucking this low status bimbo whore and he thinks to himself "he isn't really all that is he?" I could take him on.....
That whore he hangs around with and who discloses so much of Trump's little quirks makes him feel comfortable and familiar enough with Trump to take him on. He's not afraid of Trump like many Democrats are because of the whore Stormy Daniels. Would you be afraid of someone if their ex was telling you extremely intimate and personal details about them? That sort of intimacy is the opposite of respect. He really knows Trump a lot. I bet he even knows what Trump's cock looks like, how long he lasts in bed, what sexual positions he likes. That big fake titted whore makes Trump look like a joke.

YMMV.

President Avenatti will keep porn and our favorite adult video performers safe.
