That's exactly what he is, R19. It's much easier to get noticed if you're a contrarian, particularly if you're a contrarian who attacks the left. If he were like the other 90% of gay men, he'd never get noticed, never get attention, never get funded, never get articles written about him. So he turns contrarian and milks it for all he can get.

People like this guy piss me off because the reality is--for good or bad--Americans have a lot of freedom as gay people because many Dems had yur backs and were willing to fight along side you.

We are not some hive mentality group as Straka claims; if we were we wouldn't have raked Clinton over the coals for DOMA and DADT, but he was a damned sight better than Bush Senior of Junior.

He has freedom and seems to think that he someone earned that on his own. He ignores the gay people who came before him who fought for his freedom and he aligns himself with a party that will take that freedom away in increments.

One tell from just about all of these grifters is that the examples they give are of some "triggered SJW" somewhere, usually on a college campus, not actual Democratic politicians or actual Democratic policies.

Or they'll make up some shit like, "Democrats just want open borders so that illegal MS-13 immigrants can rape and murder us!!!!" Or, as we've seen here, "Democrats love Muslims more than they love ....!!!!" Or "I can't support a party who loves people who throw gay men off of buildings!!!!!" It's all bullshit.

If you watch Straka's original YouTube video, he pulls exactly these same tactics, engaging in a classic "nutpicking" strategy, where he picks out isolated comments from Twitter, blog posts, or just made-up bullshit and pretends that this is somehow representative of the Democratic Party. It's just one of the reasons why his campaign isn't getting anywhere, even as he continues to try to milk it to get attention.

I like to ask homocons to name one thing Republicans have done to advance equality for gay Americans. Usually you get the same tired talking points about identity politics, and Clinton and DOMA but they can never name one specific thing the Republicans have done to make life better for gay people. But oddly enough, they partake of all the things liberals and Dems have done for us and not only enjoy that freedom without working for it, but take it for granted.
