I was confused by the premise. I thought it was an anthology series with each episode being a standalone one about updated fairy tales, but I think it's more like Once Upon a Time where they live in the same community.

I've only tuned in because of Wolk and Paul Wesley and the premise sounded interesting - a retelling of Grimm classics but I assumed it would be like Once Upon a Time where the characters were real and transported to New York. I don't see what is inherently Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood or Hansel & Gretel about the characters. The brothers and a friend wore a pig mask like the rest of the city. The rebellious girl lives with her grandmother. I don't even see how the gogo dancing brother and his sister are meant to emulate Hansel & Gretel? Is it because he snorts nose candy?

They are deconstructed re-telling of the old Grim Fairy Tales to fit the grim, modern day times. Much less whimsical wonder and magic, more grim and brooding.

I’ve known Wolk since we were teens, he was always good looking, charismatic and genuinely the nicest guy. My entire family had crushes on him after seeing him in the high school musicals.

Maybe that's Wolk's issue - he might be too nice. Even the characters he plays have a certain decency to them. Notice how he's always smiling in pictures and never doing that annoying "blue steel" or "I've just smelt a fart" expression like so many of his contemporaries do to make them seem more brooding. I guess Hollywood is like an abused girlfriend - they love the bad boys, not the nice guys.

He seems perfect for something like Hallmark Christmas movies. I'd hoped he'd get cast in that remake of Pet Sematery. That would have been a good role for him and allowed himself to play someone morally ambiguous. I don't even know if he was up for the role, but I pictured him in it for some reason.

Second Season is out. Wring of this season is messier than last season. It has 4 storyliines.. Characters of each storyline is somewhat connected to each other. But writing is totally all over the place. .

Main Female characters are super annoying. Male character are not much better.

Only saving grace is that Matt Lauria has shown ihs gorgeous naked butt in almost each episode till now
