R9 There really wasn't much gossip about her until about a decade or so ago when she stared going off the rails. She had a great rep in Hollywood and was regarded as one of the nicest people in the business. Not just to other actors, but to the "little people" like the crew and fans too.

I think a big part of it is the stressor of becoming an older woman in Hollywood. I think alot of times there will be psychiatric imbalances that are dormant and then a stressor or trauma causes them to emerge. With women, that trigger tends to be aging. I think alot of these women would be better off leaving Hollywood once they reach a certain age. For men it's easier to grow older there.

Part of the problem is her taste in men. Tommy Lee is a dog. Richie seemed like step up but he cheated on her with her friend Denise Richards. I think r11 makes some good points. The thing with Heather was that she was very successful for very long - TJ Hooker, Dynasty, Melrose Place, Spin City. She is one of the rare actors to star in multiple tv series which were moderately successful to very successful.

Hitting her 50s and being single and working in Hollywood must be very difficult. Plus, like others have said, the men she chooses to be with are not good for her, and who knows what shit she's had to endure in Hollywood.
