Warner Bros. Shifts DC Strategy Amid Executive Change-Up

[quote]The big question mark going forward is the future of Batman. Writer-director Matt Reeves turned in the first act of a new screenplay during the Memorial Day weekend. It's said to focus on a young caped crusader, and while the studio would not comment, it's unlikely that Ben Affleck, who has played Batman in three features, will again don the cowl.
Uh-oh.

They wanted Jake Gyllenhaal but I guess he didn't want to board the problematic DCEU.

If they're going to do young again, they should make it Nightwing. No one wants to see another young Batman after Christopher Nolan's films.

They’ll never beat the Nolan films. Just hang it up. And Affleck? Dear lord

Swamp Thing TV series. Now I've heard everything.
On the other hand, James Wan is producing so... we'll see? Does this creature morph into a person? Because how else can you make a compelling story out of it?

Agree with Nightwing or other lesser known properties. Try to tell some different stories
