This is one of those cases where I wanted both sides to lose. What the Trump administration was doing was blatantly political, trying to shut down a news outlet, but R2 is absolutely right: expect more mergers and not because they're all terribly wonderful for consumers.

The merger is completed today and the Time Warner name will be retired. The company existed for 28 years (most of my lifetime)!
