I really wish they did a better job at giving the Noah character his own backstory. You had two awesome actors playing his parents (Daniel Hugh Kelly and Robin Mattson) and they never fully utilized them the way they could have, except using the Colonel as kind of a cartoon bad guy who was a foil for Luke and Noah.
