Chris seems nice but it annoys me that he's friendly with people like Giuliani, Kellyanne and Scaramucci. I don't want to see anchors say stuff like "we can debate and then break bread together". Fuck outta here. I could never be friends with people who are intentionally lying to the public about EVERYTHING. Giuliani in particular is a disgrace given that he worked as a prosecutor

Half of his first show was a lengthy interview with Giuliani, he basically just gave him a half hour without commercials to act like Trump's defense attorney. It started to seem pointless. And yeah, at the end (despite all the "tough" questions) Cuomo made a big show of mentioning that they're actually friends. Am I supposed to find that reassuring?

R5 Because as others have stated in this thread, it's a different kind of show. Every episode starts with a prominent interview. i think they ratings will depend on whoever the guest is.

I'm sick of shit seeing Ghouliani all over the shows, just like most people here. However, Cuomo has a completely different history with Ghouliani than everybody else. His Dad was Governor when Guiliani was mayor, and he knew Rudy quite well when he was a kid. The families would get together. So it's a whole different type of interview. Their personal connection allows Cuomo to get info out of Rudy that others normally wouldn't be able to. So if I were to watch one interview with Ghouliani, it'd be Cuomo's.

On the other hand, I think Scaramucci is a total bore so I'll skip tonight's episode.

Wow they took an hour away from Anderson - and Lemon keeps 2 hours. But I wonder if Lemon's time period is less desirable? Or else, they value him over Andy?

He makes no bones about how friendly he is off duty with so many of his deplorables. In addition to his insufferable self adoration and braggadocio, that really undercuts his credibility. I could be wrong but Maggie Haberman seems unlikely to lunching with Ghouliani or Kellyanne.

Watched him interview Scaramucci. It was hard to watch. Cuomo had a difficult time staying on topic and kept trying to change the debate. He also has this annoying habit of talking over his guests.

Anderson made his name doing field reporting and now that his show is only one hour he will be able to do more of that.

I recall Chris Cuomo at the side of the stage when his father Mario Coumo gave the keynote speech at the DNC convention in 1984. Apparently he and Don text back and forth a lot. Don, lacking self-awareness, joked on air that Chris likes to hear himself talk. That is certainly true but so does Don. I like their chemistry though. Even Anderson seems at ease while bs'ing with Chris during the handover
