Something like this? Where can I get one at an affordable price? Rubylane, eBay, and Etsy have turned up no luck.
You'll be the fanciest boy in town with this ring, OP! One flash of it and gay waiters everywhere will think to themselves, "GURRRRRL..."

by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 29, 2018 2:20 AM |
Where would you wear it?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 29, 2018 2:31 AM |
Buy silver jewelry, Op, gold jewelry is too Trump-like.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 29, 2018 2:32 AM |
You have good taste, OP. I'd like to wear one of those too.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 29, 2018 2:34 AM |
No.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 29, 2018 2:36 AM |
How about this, OP? It's Art Deco, and has a big diamond and sapphires, and is gold--white gold, to be sure, but not yellow gold. It's still pretty girleen, but it doesn't look quite as princess-y as the one in your photo.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 29, 2018 2:37 AM |
Augusten Burroughs, is that you?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 29, 2018 2:42 AM |
R9, that one will work too. That was just an example of the style I was looking for.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 29, 2018 2:43 AM |
Well, that's about as cheap as you're going to get at r9 for what you want.
Whatever you do, don't get yellow gold with jewels like in the first photo. FAR too girleen. If you must get stones, get them with silver or platinum or white gold.

I wear FIVE rings at the same time.A lovely 3 carat opal in an 18kt deco setting,a lapis lazuli in a 14kt setting that was custom made in France,a victorian tigers eye cameo ring in a 14kt setting,an 18k art nouveau ruby ring shaped like a coiled snake, and a huge 14k gold nugget ring with a mexican gold coin (from my father, otherwise,no). I love them,Im forever complimented when I wear them, and I dont give a shit what some snotty ass queen has to say about them.I dont wear bracelets much, though I have some nice ones, but I do wear a watch every day.

If only you had invested the money you threw away on gewgaws and baubles on decent typing lessons instead, r13.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 29, 2018 2:57 AM |
I think the second ring is actually slightly worse.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 29, 2018 2:57 AM |
R16 me too I think silver is on the way out. It's had a good run since the late 90s. Gold is coming back.

I got most of mine as gifts from grateful boyfriends R15,but what would you know about that ? Type away correctly dear,as I look at my lovely rings and remember the love and sex and wonderful times I had .While you were sitting in class tapping away.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 29, 2018 3:02 AM |
The second ring is white gold, not silver.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 29, 2018 3:02 AM |
Maybe I'll create an onlyfans account to pay for these.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 29, 2018 3:03 AM |
R19 who gives a shit. Silver-ish is Dead.

Do you fondle them wistfully in front of your niece Gigi, cautioning her not to mistake your priceless fancy yellow diamond for a mere topaz? Do they remind you of your former glory days as the grandest courtesan in the entire Bois de Boulogne?

Ah, I remember it well. Thank heavens you're here, Gaston.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 29, 2018 3:16 AM |
OP, how old are you? Have you funded your retirement accounts?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 29, 2018 3:52 AM |
The rong you posted looks like a woman's high school class ring, op.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 29, 2018 3:56 AM |
R9 thanks. I just bought it as a gift for my high school mentor.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 29, 2018 3:56 AM |
OP is transitioning.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 29, 2018 3:58 AM |
Custom made op. Very difficult to make. The ring you pictured was probably handmade like this.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 29, 2018 4:02 AM |
OP, I like the ring. Beware though it was common to use synthetic sapphires in very upscale settings at that time. I used to work in a jewelry store that specialized in estate pieces. It was a great part time job.

This may be my favorite thing anyone has ever posted on Datalounge.

OP, I have my grandfather's art deco ring and it looks nothing like that. It's yellow gold, and very simple with a large amethyst. It came from Bullock's Wilshire in LA.
Both of those rings look tacky.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 29, 2018 5:06 AM |
I'll never understand people who share every personal detail of their life. Having my mother and father know about my sex life, drug use, and partying. Cringeworthy.
Maybe I'm just too old-fashioned.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 29, 2018 5:18 AM |
Idle thought. How about custom cockrings?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 29, 2018 5:21 AM |
Only AFTER you've bought Art Deco earrings to go with your caftan, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 29, 2018 5:21 AM |
Get a sugar daddy to propose to you with this ring.

That's odd, considering that according to ebay its still up for sale.
