R308, the problem with the Grand Canyon is that you have to do some pretty strenuous hiking to truly appreciate it. Most people just go to the edge and look over and go "ooooh" and drive away again, and yeah. If you've flown across the country and driven for hours from the nearest city and all you do is look over the edge, you might not think it's worth the trouble. But once you get down there, holy cow it is the most AMAZING place in the world! Photos can't capture it's beauty, or variety. I'm glad I did some serious hiking there when I was young, because I'm too old and fat for it now!

Joni is another story. I lived in a semi-commune arrangement while in school at Tulane in 1973/74, and the guys who lived with me thought she was IT. I remember one guy, and he was very handsome and in great demand with the local girls, had done a very large sketch of her which adorned the wall of our dining room. Her albums played nonstop while he drooled over Bony Joni all day long. She wasn't movie star gorg like Michelle, but she definitely was pretty.
