Were it not for her famous father, nobody would've given this girl a second thought. Her designs are so so at best.
Stella McCartney Is A Lousy Designer ! There, I Said It !!

I agree. Her clothes do not flatter, and have an unfortunate home sewn look.

Yep.

Stella cashed in (literally) on Beatle father Paul McCartney's name. You'd have to pay ME to wear a lot of her silly stuff.

So was Alexander McQueen.
There, now I SAID IT.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 25, 2018 3:32 AM |
Agreed

The tablecloth dress also serves to dust the floor.

That's lovely R5. And here I was wondering what to wear to the party for our new Post Office.

The reception gown she made for Nutmeg was very nice, occasionally she gets one right.
Only occasionally, though, most of her designs are HIDEOUS!!! And there's a Stella McCartney in an upscale town near me, I've never seen a single shopper in there. I can't imagine how much money her dad has lost keeping her in business.

Yup, most guys will trot down the street wearing this outfit........

This is what SM selected for Oprah for the royal wedding.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 25, 2018 3:51 AM |
I must say, I've always found it strange that she gets all this adulation for her designs and people make fun of Posh's, when Posh's clothing is actually better.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 25, 2018 3:52 AM |
Those are some really ugly shoes.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 25, 2018 3:52 AM |
The clodhopper shoes in OP link is what happens when you combine orthopedic with elevator shoes. At least Ivanka copies from actual designers.

I like her use of innovative synthetics vs. animal-derived materials.
Her fragrances are nice. As are her normal clothes. They're pretty.

Charge a premium price for crappy products and there will always be someone dumb enough to fall for it.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 25, 2018 4:13 AM |
I guess I'm the only one that didn't realize she was Paul's daughter. Thought the name was just a coincidence.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 25, 2018 4:23 AM |
How come she never smiles? She never looks happy.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 25, 2018 4:34 AM |
Her clothes are not only butt-ugly, they can make models look fat!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 25, 2018 5:09 AM |
She really is an example of what the power of a name can do. All of the hype and fawning was and is because of the idea of Sir Paul's daughter being a designer. Her designs, by themselves, are mostly undistinguished and unflattering.
[quote]have an unfortunate home sewn look.
Heh. Well said.

I heard she’s a real cunt to her underlings
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 25, 2018 6:37 AM |
Go on, R21...

[QUOTE]I heard she’s a real cunt to her underlings
And where does she find them ?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 29, 2018 3:17 AM |
Do name designers like her who do not rise through the ranks of a fashion house actually design anything?
Stella and ivanka probably just go oooh I like that at designs their employees bring to them.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 29, 2018 8:25 AM |
Stella McCartney is NOT all that and a bag of crisps. People only buy that shit based on who her father is.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 29, 2018 8:35 AM |
She's a trust fund baby she doesn't care if her company makes money. Her income is probably large enough to absorb any losses from her bad designs.
