Singh did win the byelection in British Columbia, but the bad news is that his party lost a seat in Montreal (Outremont) to the Liberals.

It used to be the seat of former NDP Leader Tom Mulcair. The NDP has to do something fast in Quebec, or they could lose more seats in October.
