I am surprised that they are trying to salvage the show. Usually when things get to this level of outright hostility, Hollywood scaredy-cats just bail on the whole thing.

In a previous show, constantly threw stuff, would scream at staffers 'WATER' when he wanted a drink, would pull young actors aside even when they did not ask, to counsel them, give them acting tips, tell them how to share their thoughts with the director.

My friend has worked with him twice and said he is the biggest egomaniac she's worked with in her current role. He claims that his 'temper tantrums are what artists do - you have to give us this outlet, or our brains malfunction.'

She said several of them watched him on an interview last year or so and he said something like "I hate actors, they are so smug and full of themselves" and she said the entire group spat out their food laughing at the hypocrisy.

r44 I think this is a classic industry situation where both of them are assholes, and the suits will side with the one who will do the least financial damage. Add that to the fact that TV showrunners usually don't have the clout or guts a movie counterpart would, and it's something that they couldn't resolve in house.

The Wayans family is extremely powerful behind the scenes in black Hollywood, and has been for a while. There is no way TPTB will risk racial backlash for censuring/firing a black actor right now, especially anyone in that family.

This story made me laugh - do they not realize they're on some low rated TV that most people probably didn't know existed (I remember hearing about it when it started, but have heard almost no buzz about it)? People under 25 probably haven't even heard of the original movie. They both sound like douches, though "Clayne" sounds like has has effectively napalmed every bridge he ever had and is likely finished, while the Wayans guy will likely live to fight another day.

I'm R21 and R23. As I said, a friend worked with him, and long before this latest debacle happened, she told me numerous times that he was a psycho, raging, egotistical asshole. When she first told me, I had no idea who he even was, and still only do because of her (and now this). She had more stories, but they were basically exactly like what you've heard in this story (and in that audio).

I remembered one specific example, but not in this show, he also said to some intern whose sole job was to just carry various paperwork around, and at one point she walked by him and I guess just smiled and glanced away and he screamed "WHY THE FUCK DO WE HAVE 12 YR OLDS IN HERE? I'm not fucking behaving around children, fuck that, we have shit to do, but we let kids in here to distract us??? I can't fucking sit in my chair without someone being in my space? Is this a fucking playground?" This intern was about 23 yrs old at the time, did not even say a word, but had to walk somewhat in his vicinity, but since he is "an artist" he could have not lowly humans anywhere near him.
