Most Italians are not like that, I know, the Vatican, the Vatican so rich. Well that's not most Italians or Catholics for that matter. As a Sicilian American who has done a DNA test I was surprised to get no sub-Saharan results and less than 8% middle eastern. I was also especially surprised not to get any French. I did get some genetic outlier. (Native Sicilians are like Laps and Basques in that they survived the Caucasasion invasion of Europe 10,000 years ago.) But mostly my Sicilian side was just Italian.

Yes the majority of Italian Americans DID come from Sicily and Calabria. However, to say that Sicilians is arab is wrong in itself. Sicilians do not overlap genetically with a SINGLE Arab nation.
